Elizabeth "Betty" V. Uremovich, age 86, of Elrama, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at home. She retired as a secretary in the insurance industry and was a former cook at Lawson’s Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills and a member of Elrama Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Born April 25, 1935 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Veronica (Haluska) Gorgey and wife of the late George F. Uremovich. She is survived by daughters, Karen (Dr. Brian) Rizzo of Glendale, AZ and Beth Henderson of Finleyville; son, George N. Uremovich of Elrama; grandchildren, Sasha and Rachelle Henderson, Tyler, Zachary, Daniella and Gabriela Rizzo, and Nicholas, Steven and Shannon Uremovich; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Taylor Walker; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Kathleen Julian and brother, David Gorgey. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Ruth E. (Lightfoot) Smith, age 80, of Clairton, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at home. She retired as a nurses aide at Locust Grove in West Mifflin. She lived an exciting life as the wife whose husband was in the Air Force for 22 years. She started her career as a general nurse before working as a nurses aide and activities director. She loved her pets and loved to walk her dog and converse with the neighbors. Born August 24, 1940 in Bedford, England, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Winifred (Rudd) Lightfoot. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Howard J. Smith Jr.; son, Dean (Kathy) Smith of Glassport; daughter, Cheri (Tim) Smith-Dworek of Elizabeth; granddaughter, Courtney (Bill) Smith of Munhall; stepgranddaughter, Tiffany (Kana) Moy of Delmont; stepgrandson, Timmy Dworek of Sutersville; step great-granddaughters, Aliya, Audrey and Grace; her brother Mark (Lynn) Lightfoot of Bedford, UK; and also, numerous nieces and nephews in England as well as nieces and nephews on the Smith side and residing in the United States. John Rosko, age 95 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in Arden Courts, Jefferson Hills, Born May 3, 1926 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Itnatoila) Rosko. A US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, John was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church of Clairton. John retired as an engineer at Bettis Atomic in West Mifflin and also worked at both Old Overholt Distillery in Large and as a policeman for the City of Clairton. He is survived by his wife of 71 years Martha P. (Geletko) Rosko; his children David J. (Sarah Young) Rosko of Phillipsburg, Kathleen (Frank) Rosko Book of Edinsburg, Linda J. (Thomas) O'Brian of Bethel Park, and Robert J. (Michele Vogel) Rosko of Lake Ariel; his grandchildren Matthew Rosko, Alexis Vesper, Erin (Christopher) Bruno, Lyndsay (Robert) Ward, Kirsten Book, Patrick and Sean O'Brian, and Meghan Rosko; his great-grandchildren J.J., Bennett, Adrian, Joey, Norah, and Roman; and also nieces and nephews. Charles Coleman “Duke” Tullius, age 87 and formerly of Clairton and Elizabeth, passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 29, 2021 after a long illness. Born December 20, 1933 in Clairton to the late Edward and Barbara (Mulkerin) Tullius, Duke was a proud 1952 graduate of Clairton High School. He served in the US Army at Fort Hood, TX where he was a tank commander. Returning to Clairton, Duke married his high school sweetheart, Gail E. Decima in 1956. He retired from U.S. Steel Corporation in the engineering department then worked for the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council as a program director. Duke was a long time parishioner of Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin where he led members in Contemplative Prayer with guidance from Fr. Thomas Keating. Duke was an ardent Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a Little League baseball coach for many years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Gail E. (Decima) Tullius; daughter Susan (Win) Ziders; son Dr. Charles D. (Michelle) Tullius; grandchildren Matthew (Jaclyn) Ziders, Patrick (Stephanie) Ziders, Capt. David (Philine) Tullius, Claire (Jeremy) Harris; was the loving "Great Pap" to Olivia, Katie, Elaina, Jonathan, Annie, Ailey, Lucas, and Maisie; brother-in-law to Sylvia Tullius; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. A member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton, Susan worked as an operator for Bell Telephone and retired from the Croatian Fraternal Union in Monroeville. She was also a member of the Sons of Columbus, Genova Council #6 of Clairton and the Bell Pioneer. Susan is survived by her son Anthony (Denise) Basilone of Ellenton FL, his son Christopher (Shyra) Basilone and his daughter Nadia, and daughters Bianca and Gianna Basilone; her daughter Michelle (Michael) Mitchko of Canonsburg, her sons Michael (Courtney) Mitchko and their sons James and Maxwell and Matthew (Vanessa) Mitchko and their children Ava and Mason.; her son Jim (Kristen) Basilone of Murrysville his sons Jimmy (Erica) Basilone and their children Niko and Keegan and Joshua (Cristen) Basilone; and her son and Jim’s twin John (Beata) Basilone of Manchester, NH and his children Dana (Grant) O’Hara and their children Dominic, Nico, and Lucca, Jonathan (Danielle) Basilone and their children Anthony and Lino, and Shane Basilone; also many nieces and nephews; and Susan’s dear friend who was like a daughter to her: Donna (Rick) Selby.
