Joan T Dilts, age 89 of North Huntingdon, passed away on September 13, 2025, at her home. She was born on April 20, 1936, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Guerino Teti and Matilda DeMarino Smith. Joan was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and the Emerald Club. She was also a member of AARP 3221. Joan graduated from McKeesport High School Class of 1954. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur Dilts, her son Edward Joseph Phillips Jr. and her granddaughter, Angela Phillips. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Phillips (Patti), and Christopher Dilts (Christine), three daughters, Linda Paranick (Donald), Sharon Melani (David), and Carole Sever, one brother Angelo Teti (Phyllis), one sister, Rose Beeson. She was the beloved grandmother to 18 grandchildren, Jenna Belyea (Benjamin),Tara Valentino (Nicholas), Rachel Cunningham (Jeremy), Adam Paranick , Sean Melani (Brittany), Teri Grumski (Joshua), Mark Phillips (Amy), Paul Phillips (Lauren), Mary Sampey (Andrew), Michael Matta (Toni) , Connor Phillips (Cailie) Elizabeth Chiodo (Alessandro), Thomas Sever III, Jacob Sever, Derrick Dilts (Rachel), Harrison Dilts, Dalton Dilts. Robert D. Davison, age 77 of New Stanton, passed away on September 12, 2025 at Mountain View Memory Care. He was born on June 16, 1948 in McKeesport, a son of the late Dale Davison and Katherine Bernick Davison. Bob was a graduate of McKeesport High School, and also Pitt University with a degree in engineering. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served as a radar repairman during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, Bob was employed by OMNOVA Solutions in Jeannette as an electrical engineer. He was known by his family to be a prankster and he was always somewhat mischievous. He enjoyed doing yard work, home improvements, antiquing, and collecting antique cookie jars. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverly in 2007, and four sisters, Linda Davison, Judy Vincenzini, Kath Takacs, and Barb Swauger. He is survived by one son, Robert J. Davison, (wife Jen), one daughter, Kelley Lord (husband Todd), three brothers, Jim Davison (wife Janet), Mick Davison (wife Sharon), and Dan Davison (wife Kathy), one sister, Donna Passaro, three grandchildren, Jacob Ross, Sera Lord, and Trina Lord, and many nieces and nephews. Diana J. Reber, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 9, 2025. Born October 29, 1937, in Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia (Radich) Sudor. Diana was a longtime member of St. Agnes Church, where she volunteered in the school cafeteria, and was active in the Circleville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the North Irwin Women’s Club. A beautician by trade, she also worked in the Norwin cafeteria and later took pride in serving as bookkeeper for the family business, Astro Automation. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, sewing, and playing piano, but was happiest cooking and baking for her family. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Diana and her beloved husband, James F. Reber, recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary and shared a long and happy marriage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Mildred DeAngelis, Betty DeBerardinis, and Estelle Bianchi. She is survived by her children James M. Reber (Barb), Jackie DiNuzzo (Mark), Eileen Burkhardt (Bob), and Aimee Schmidt (Ralph); grandchildren Stephen Reber (Sana Seth), Jason Reber, Matt DiNuzzo (Chelsea), Anthony DiNuzzo (Eleanor), Chris DiNuzzo, Grant Burkhardt, Nicole Reilly (Dan), Lucas Burkhardt, Will Burkhardt, Tyler Schmidt, and Connor Schmidt; great-granddaughter Eloise DiNuzzo, and another great-grandchild on the way. Janice C. McWilliams, age 88 of North Huntingdon, passed away on September 7, 2025 at Transitions Healthcare. She was born on December 23, 1936 in Irwin, a daughter of the late David Carson and Carrie Davis Carson. Janice was a graduate of North Huntingdon High School, and she worked as a clerk for Kerber's Dairy. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting ceramics, reading, and working on puzzle books. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by two brothers, David Carson and Scott Carson. Marla Jean Kalning, age 90 of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025. Marla was born on January 4, 1935, a daughter of the late Howard Hornfeck and Ada Carlson Hornfeck. She was a member of Sampson's Mills Church in White Oak. Marla was a graduate of McKeesport High School and also McKeesport Nursing School. During her career, she practiced as a company nurse and a registered nurse at McKeesport Hospital. Marla enjoyed many artistic hobbies, including watercolor painting, drawing, ceramic crafting, and photography. In her free time, she volunteered with the Norwin Art League and the Carnegie Museum on the Move. Marla also enjoyed U.S. and international travel and had a love of learning taking online classes until recently and her dogs brought her great joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Laimon Kalning in 2003. Marla is survived by two sons, Greg Kalning (wife Madalyn) and Doug Kalning (wife Diane), two daughters, Lisa Howerton (husband Scott), and Linda Kalning, and six grandchildren, Mitchell Kalning (wife Cati), Matthew Kalning (wife Courtney), Marshall Kalning (Madison), Jimmy Howerton (Sofia), Nicholas Kalning, and Jacob Kalning. Irene Barnett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 89. Her life was shaped by devotion to family, a strong sense of humor, and the steady rhythms of daily care. She grew up in a bustling, close-knit household that shaped her enduring love of family. In 1962, she married William “Bill” Barnett, and the two shared 63 years together—building a life grounded in affection and laughter. Irene was a lover of books, flowers, and music. She enjoyed crime shows and time spent with family. A strong and steady mother, she created a home full of good soup and plenty of humor to go along with it. She and Bill enjoyed traveling in their retirement, taking several cruises and seeing new places together. Irene is survived by her devoted husband, Bill Barnett; her children Cathy, Tracy, and Brian; her grandchildren Trinity and Katalina; her sister Marion Barnett; and her brothers Ray and Tom Seitz. She was preceded in death by her parents and six of her siblings. Her presence was a constant - a calm, loving foundation for those she cared for. John R. Kimmell, age 74, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Emma Kimmell. He is survived by his son, Cameron Kimmell and wife Kelly (Allen) Kimmell and grandson Tyler Kimmell. He is also survived by his brother, James Kimmell and wife Gail (Carver) Kimmell and nephews James and Todd Kimmell. John grew up in Irwin and attended Norwin High School before going to Pitt at Greensburg. In 1978 he married Susan Babyak. The family moved to Stahlstown in 1984 to realize their dream of horse ownership. He was active in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Donegal, and worked as a paralegal at Lieber and Hammer LLC until his death. John had a kind heart, and he loved people. He was always willing to help. John was also a jack of all trades with electrical, plumbing, car repairs, and even horse shoeing. He had a smile that would light up a room and a booming laugh that you couldn't ignore. Beverly Schott, age 78 of North Huntingdon, passed away on August 26, 2025 at Hempfield Manor. She was born on February 5, 1947 in Greensburg. Beverly was a member of St. Agnes Church in North Huntingdon. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary for the Norwin School District in the business office. Following her retirement, Beverly volunteered at Redstone Highlands in North Huntingdon, where she taught hand-crafts and ran the gift shop. Thomas C. Granny, age 67 of Irwin, passed away on August 22, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1958 in Braddock, a son of Patricia McGarrity Granny and the late David Granny. Tom was a graduate of Norwin High School in the class of 1976. He was a talented mechanic and fulfilled a career at Kenny Ross Automotive. Tom had a passion for restoring old cars and he was known as a jack-of-all-trades who loved to work around the house. In his free time, he always looked forward to camping, especially at Big Bear Lake. In addition to his father, Tom was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Doug Granny. John P. "Jack" Hails, age 76 of North Huntingdon, passed away on August 20, 2025. He was born on March 6, 1949 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Edward Hails and Ruth Watson Hails. Jack was a decorated veteran of the United States Army, having fought in combat during the Vietnam War. He served as a medic in the 82nd Airborne Division, and he was assigned to the Army's Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol (LRRP). In his free time, Jack enjoyed collecting beer memorabilia at local flea markets, selling various merchandise on eBay and earning the title of Power-Seller, and reading science fiction novels. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his infant twin brother James, brother Eddie Hails, and two sisters, Jan Danchenko and Ruthie Lebron. She was born on October 2, 1940 in Fordyce, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Claude Ratliff and Arrie Courtney Ratliff. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Greensburg. In her free time, Patsy enjoyed gardening, and she liked to keep a watchful eye on her social media accounts. Most of all, Patsy cherished the time spent with her family. Joseph J. Diak, age 86 of North Huntingdon died August 10, 2025, at Independence Westmoreland Hospital. He was born October 22, 1938, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Joseph G. and Annabelle E. Kozlowski Diak. Joseph was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. Prior to retirement Joe was employed by MSA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family at his camp in Tionesta, Pa. Joe enjoyed watching Western movies. Joe was a jack of all trades and there wasn't anything he wouldn't try. His favorite past time was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
