Janet Louise Slack, age 80 formerly of Penns Woods, North Huntingdon passed away February 17, 2026, at her home in Olympia, Washington. She was born May 31, 1945, in McKeesport, the daughter of the late William Schoy and Marion Schoy Velter.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed playing piano, handbells, and singing with the Church Choirs.  She also enjoyed travel, working in her garden, reading, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Amongst other positions, Janet notably worked as a physical therapy assistant at Caritas Christi Motherhouse for the retired sisters of charity at Seton Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustave Slack III. In addition to her son David Slack and daughter in law Christine Slack with whom she resided. She is survived by her daughter Johanna Louise Rae, sisters in law, Carol Schoy and Sally Schoy, and her four beloved grandchildren, Kane Rae, Leah Brisbane, Rachel Rae, and Nate Rae. Joyce Elaine Konkol, an 83-year-old resident of North Huntingdon, peacefully passed away in her residence on February 18, 2026. Born on March 13, 1942, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Campbell Mitchell and Florence Harden Mitchell. Joyce was deeply proud of her professional career as a Registered Nurse at McKeesport Hospital and UPMC Ambulatory Surgery Center in Monroeville, where she dedicated her life to providing compassionate care. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved daughter Susan Guffey Riley, and sister Phyllis McClay. Joyce is survived by her husband, Paul Konkol; daughter, Michele DiPietro, and her husband, Lou; stepdaughters, Lisa Abd and George, and Amy Sandala and her husband John; sister, Doris Martino; and brother, David Mitchell. Her cherished grandchildren include Dana & Evan Powell, Drew & Kara Guffey, Derek & Kate Fowler, Grant & Emily Fowler, Devan Sandala, Mia Sandala, Elissa Abd & Amanda Abd Huber; and seven great-grandchildren, Marlo, Harper Sue, Cassidy, Myla, Charlie, Grant & Hope. Stephanie A. Petrovay, age 86 of North Versailles, passed away on February 18, 2026. She was born on January 8, 1940 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Stephen Heinack and Irene Pillar Heinack. Stephanie was an office worker, a cat lover, and she enjoyed playing bingo. In addition to her parents, Stephanie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Petrovay, one brother Eugene Heinack (wife Sandra), and one sister, Gloria Miele (husband Ronald). She is survived by one brother, Norman Heinack (wife Eileen), and two sisters, Arlene Dzura (husband Michael) and Denise Daw (husband Dennis). Friends will be received at the James W. Stephen J. Fekete, age 59 of Westmoreland City, died February 18, 2026, at Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born Sept 9, 1966, in Plainfield, New Jersey, a son of Judy A. Churly Fekete and the late John Fekete. Stephen was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Church in McKeesport. He was employed by ARC, the Blind Association and also Paula Teacher and Associates. Stephen enjoyed wrestling, coloring and art projects. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Robert (Susan), Christopher (Jamie), nieces and nephews, Brice, Reese, Sarah, Julie and Michael., aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be no public visitation. A service will be held at a later date. Beverly Lynn Catalano, age 80 of McKeesport died February 15, 2026, at UPMC McKeesport. She was born February 14, 1946, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Clarence and Victoria Kacin Little. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Rege Little. Prior to her retirement, Beverly was employed by Walmart as an associate. She enjoyed concerts, Motown, dancing and was a fan of Elvis Presley. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family. She was also an animal lover. Jeffrey M. Tomko, age 56 of Irwin died unexpectedly on February 11, 2026, at home. He was born May 27, 1969, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Raymond and Audrey Fenich Tomko. Jeffrey was a member of St. Edward Parish in Herminie. He was a graduate of Hempfield Area High School Class of 1987. Following high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Washington and Jefferson College. He continued his education earning dual degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and his MBA from Duquesne University. He later fulfilled his career as a chemist specializing in research and product management for several companies. Jeffrey had many hobbies including trout fishing, car restoration, attending car shows, and walking. He enjoyed socializing with his neighbors and had a love for animals, in particular dogs. One of his favorite pastimes was watching reruns of Seinfeld and classic TV shows from the 70s and 80s. He is survived by two sisters, Laura Tomko and Amy Greenwood (husband Paul) both of Texas, his Aunt Sandy and Aunt Karen, and several cousins. Friends will be received at the JAMES W. Carolyn L. Haller, age 84 of North Huntingdon, passed away on February 11, 2026 at Redstone Highlands in North Huntingdon.  She was born on August 14, 1941 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Charles Krznaric and Agnes Jasek Krznaric.  Carolyn was a member of St. Angela Merici Church in White Oak, where she volunteered at their annual festival.  She was also a long-time member of the Norwin Lions Club.  Prior to her retirement, Carolyn fulfilled a career as the Senior Vice President of Operations at PNC Bank. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, attending book club, and volunteering with the Ladies of Charity.  In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Haller, on November 1, 2025.  She is survived by three brothers, Charles Krznaric (wife Lisa), Franklin Krznaric (wife Lou Ann), and Gregory Krznaric (wife Judy), one sister, Patricia Zarak, and numerous nieces and nephews.  A funeral Mass will take place in St. Angela Merici Church, 2701 Kelly St, White Oak, PA 15131, on Monday at 11 AM.  PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH. Harry J. Smith, commonly known as “Joe” or "Smitty", age 72 of White Oak, passed away on February 9, 2026.  He was born on February 3, 1954, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Harry Smith and Florence Jagiello Smith.  Harry was a graduate of Norwin High School in the class of 1972.  He went on to fulfill a career as a self-employed plumber for his company, Smith Plumbing.  Harry was the former fire chief for North Irwin Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a model train enthusiast, he enjoyed old TV shows, and he liked to attend air shows.  Harry is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Acheson Smith, one brother, Dave Smith (wife Christy), one sister, Katherine Stitely, nephews, John and Jeff, and nieces, Suzanne, Heather, Michelle, Amy, and Sarah. Kathleen F. O'Donnell, age 101 of North Huntingdon, passed away on February 7, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1924 in Carnegie, a daughter of the late Leo McIntyre and Bertha Langer McIntyre. Kathy was a founding member of St. Agnes Church, a member of the Christian Mothers, and a former member of the Ridge Road Women's Club. She was the owner of Kathy's Candy, a successful home-based business of 31 years. Kathy loved to travel the world, and she was an avid camper. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John O'Donnell, one brother, Ken McIntyre, and one sister, Ruth Buck. She is survived by two sons, John O'Donnell (wife Nancy) and Thomas O'Donnell (wife Cheryl), two daughters, Kathy Henry (husband John) and Jan Curry (husband Bruce), six grandchildren, Jeremy O'Donnell, Bonnie Tuggle, Ben O'Donnell, Kaitlyn O'Donnell, Karen Polechko, and Matthew Henry, and three great-grandchildren, Leah, Colin, and Leah. Donald E. Speidel, age 93 of West Hempfield, passed away on February 4, 2026. He was born on March 25, 1932 in McKeesport, a son of the late Ernest Speidel and Ruth Baker Speidel. Don was a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church, and a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He fulfilled a career as a senior systems analyst for West Penn Power. Following his retirement, Don and his first wife, Margaret, moved to Myrtle Beach, where they resided for many years. In his free time, Don liked to golf, and he enjoyed woodworking. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Poyser Speidel, one daughter, Kimberly Rossi, and one sister, Lois Anderson. He is survived by his second wife, Peg, one son, David Speidel (wife Melissa), and grandchildren James Rossi (wife Courtney), Elizabeth Davis (husband Marc), Ava Rossi, Audrey Rossi, Nola Davis, and Roan Davis. Charlotte A. Michaleski, age 82 of Herminie, passed away on January 31, 2026. She was born on October 20, 1943 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Sylvester Mickanin and Irene Balego Mickanin. Prior to her retirement, Charlotte worked on an assembly line at a manufacturing shop. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her first husband, Steven R. Jurick, her second husband, Chester Michaleski, and one brother, Sylvester Mickanin. She is survived by three sons, Michael Jurick, Ronald Jurick (wife Rae), and C.J. Jane Marie Weber, 71, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 30, 2026.  She was born on May 24, 1954, in Townshend, VT, eldest daughter of the late Bernard Perry and Doris Westcott.  After graduating beauty school, Jane worked many years as a licensed cosmetologist, spent time as an aide at a senior care facility, and served in the cafeterias of Norwin School District until she lost her sight in 2015.  Through eighteen moves during the last sixteen years of her husband's Naval career, Jane had a strength and resiliency that kept her family stable.  Jane made their house a home, not just to family, but to all who came into contact with her.  They moved to Pennsylvania in 1990, shortly after his retirement, where Jane planted deep roots in the community.  Wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Jane embodied each role with love and devotion.  She loved to travel, to chat and be around people, and was an excellent cook.  She had a personality as vibrant as her red hair and always wanted those around her to laugh and be happy.  Jane is survived by Carl Weber, her devoted husband of 52 years, their children Chris Weber (wife, Jenn), Joe Weber, and Danaye Shiplett (husband, Steve), and beloved grandchildren, Alice Weber, Greyson Weber, Carter Weber and Anna Weber.  She also leaves behind her brothers, Bernie Perry (wife, Sue), and Brian Wheeler, and sisters, Sylvia Willard (husband, Lance), Gina Holt, and Debbie Rose (husband, Kevin).  A celebration of life will take place on a later date to be announced.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Jane's name to the Eye & Ear Foundation of Pittsburgh at www.eyeandear.org/donate, designate: Fox Center Optic Nerve.  James W. Scott W. Sellitto, age 47 of North Huntingdon, passed away tragically on January 23, 2026. He was born on November 27, 1978 in Pittsburgh, a son of William Sellitto and the late Deborah Povanda Sellitto. Scott graduated from Norwin High School in the class of 1997. Following high school, he earned an economics degree from Penn State University in 2001. He was an avid fan of Penn State sports. Following his college graduation, Scott fulfilled a career as the owner of S. Sellitto Insurance LLC, otherwise known as My Insurance People in McKeesport. Above all, Scott lived a life dedicated to his son, Jackson. In addition to his mother, Scott was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kara Noelle Sellitto. Dorothy D. Dickson, age 94 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 21, 2026.  She was born on November 8, 1931, in Pitcairn, a daughter of the late Chester Roberts and Viola Bethune Roberts.  Dorothy was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in North Huntingdon.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as a clerk at the State Liquor Store.  In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed bowling, camping, and card games.  She was a dog lover and even ran an in-home doggy daycare.  She always looked forward to playing board games with her family.  In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allan Dickson, three brothers, Calvin, Gene, and Robert Roberts, and three sisters, Audrey Henry, Arleen Mitcheltree, and Bernice Watson.  She is survived by two sons, A. Keith Dickson (wife Mary) and Robert Dickson (wife Jo Anne), one daughter, Linda Varga (husband John), one brother, Jerry Roberts, grandchildren, Jason Dickson (wife Becca), Jamie Dickson (wife Katia), Andrew Dickson (wife Jodi), Mattie Vodila (husband Joel), Joshua Varga (wife Jessica), Kaitlin Dickson (Nelson), Cameron Varga (wife Jenny), and Ian Varga (Brei), and numerous great-grandchildren.  There will be no public visitation. Donald L. Nystrom, 97, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Saturday, January 17 at Asbury Place in Mt. Lebanon, PA. Don was born in Braddock, PA on November 28, 1928, to Clarence and Thursa Nystrom. He was a Pattern Maker at Westinghouse Airbrake where he met and married his lovely wife, Gerry. He and Gerry enjoyed going out for daily drives, dining out and shopping together. Don was a good athlete playing on his high school basketball team. He later enjoyed playing and watching golf and was an avid fan of the Pitt Panthers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He was known to have a great sense of humor and always had a smile, never one to get angry. He also built dollhouses for several of his family members. In addition to his parents, Don is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine (Brickel) and sister Jean Lundahl. He is survived by nephews Paul (Claudia) Lundahl, Dr. Robert (Kim) Lundahl, Barry (Tracy) Brickel and nieces Marcy (Charlie) Campbell, Kelly (David) Burda, Dorian Dinsmore. There will be a private burial at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park in North Huntingdon.
