Douglas A. Turk Sr., age 62 of Greensburg passed away on February 9, 2025. He was born on January 8, 1963 in McKeesport, a son of the late Andrew Turk Jr. and Joann Stark Turk. Doug was a graduate of Norwin High School in the class of 1982. Prior to his retirement, Doug was employed as a vocational-technical teacher where he instructed aspiring diesel mechanic technicians. He was also a volunteer firefighter for both the Circleville and Herminie Volunteer Fire Departments. In his free time, Doug enjoyed motorsports, flying remote controlled aircraft, and studying history, especially WWII. In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by one brother David. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Jo Zalakar Turk, two sons Douglas Turk Jr. and William Turk (and fiancée Jamie), one daughter Amanda Walker (and husband David) one brother William Turk, one sister Kathie Spoon, and grandchildren Miranda Turk, Lukas Walker, and Skylar Walker. Carol A. Jeffcoat, age 86 of Herminie, passed away on February 8, 2025.  She was born on October 2, 1938 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Ralph Weinel and Alice Gearing Weinel.  Carol cherished her role as a homemaker and she always took pride in keeping a tidy house.  In her free time, she loved to cook.  In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ken in 2009, and one sister Linda Jeffcoat.  She is survived by one brother Ralph Blaine Weinel (and wife Cheryl) and numerous nieces and nephews.  There will be no public visitation.  James W. Jon A. (Jack) Warden passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7th. He was born June 22,1933 in Philadelphia, a son of the late James A. Warden and Theresa Barnhouse Warden. Jon graduated from McDonald High School in 1951 and later from the University of Pittsburgh. After attending high school during the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard as an Aviation Machinist Mate and a member of a flight crew. Jon was retired from U.S. Steel and their subsidiary railroads in the industrial engineering and transportation departments. Later he worked as a rural Mail Carrier for a number of years. He was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan since the mid-forties. He coached boys’ basketball in the P.A.L. organization for 10 years and was an active member of the Markvue Manor recreation organization. He had an interest in old cars, having owned 2 classic cars. He enjoyed return trips to California, and for a number of years he spent the winter months in Boca Raton, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Donna (Slack) Warden. In addition to his parents, Jon was preceded in death by his infant daughter Dawn Ann, a sister Virginia Warden and a grandson Alex Krivoniak. He is survived by a daughter Diane Krivoniak (Dan) of Latrobe; two sons, Neal (Margaret) of North Huntingdon; Allen (Christine) of Irwin; seven grandchildren Lelia Warden, Martine (John) Krugh, Landon Warden, Shane Warden, Crista Krivoniak, Alexa Krivoniak and Tyler (Jenny) Warden, and five great-grandchildren Brynna, Lennon, Vance, Virginia and Sadie. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment will be private. Kenneth "Bones" Watson, age 63 of North Huntingdon, passed away on February 1, 2025. He was born on January 6, 1962 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Edward Watson and Victoria Jagiello Watson. Ken was a graduate of Norwin High School in the class of 1980. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Norwin Manufacturing as a machinist. Ken was a member of the Fairmont Hahntown Volunteer Fire Department where he was in charge of the pool league, and he was also a member of the Italian Miner's Society. He also loved to golf and hunt. Ken is survived by his son Quentin Watson, two brothers Edward Jr. (and wife Michelle) and Thomas Watson, four sisters Patricia Palmer (and husband William), Karen Watson, Roberta McDonald (and husband John Sr.), and Donna McDonald (and husband Joel), and numerous nieces and nephews. William "Bill" Hooke

William Hooke (Bill) age 62 of North Huntingdon passed away at home on January 28, 2025 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 30, 1962 in Homestead, a son of the late Charles and Alice (Loutsenhizer) Hooke. Bill was a 1980 graduate of Norwin High School and a 1984 graduate of Point Park College. Bill was a member of First Evangelical Free Church of McKeesport where he served in teen ministry and the church café. He lived by faith and is now with Jesus. Bill was employed by Lance Inc. and then worked and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan including the Pitt Panthers, attending many football and basketball games. He also had a love for music, some of his favorite bands were Queen, Kansas and Billy Joel to name a few. Family was everything, and his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy while attending all of their activities and sports. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jared Lee Hooke and his father-in-law Donald Austin. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Erin (Austin) Hooke, four sons Joshua (Samantha), Jonathan (Carley), Jesse (Amber), Jadon, grandchildren Jayce, Charlotte, Lyam and Marshall. Dolores E. Halas, 88 of North Huntingdon passed away January 25, 2025 at Transitions Health Care, North Huntingdon. She was born October 21, 1936 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late George and Julia Lovas Jacob. Dolores was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church in Mckeesport. She was a member of the Markvue Manor Women's Club, a tour guide for AARP 3221 of North Huntingdon and the Red Hats Society. Dolores was crowned Miss Magyar (Miss Hungary) in 1955. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband William M. in 2023, brother George Jacob and a sister, Marie Varga. She is survived by two sons, Scott Halas (Lisa) of Penn Township , Mark Halas of Mt. Pleasant, two grandchildren, Brandon Halas (Susi) and Danielle Boger (William), two great grandchildren, Oliver and Benjamin. a sister in law Joyce Jacob and numerous nieces and nephew. Larry Cuturilo, age 80 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 24, 2025.  He was born on June 22, 1944 in  McKeesport, a son of the late Elia Cuturilo and Sadie Yanatovic Cuturilo.  Larry graduated from McKeesport High School in the Class of 1963, and he went on to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Prior to his retirement, Larry was employed by the Pittsburgh Port Authority as a bus driver with over 25 years of experience.  Larry was a member of the McKeesport Sportsmen's Association, and he loved to fish.  He also enjoyed weight lifting, watching Pittsburgh sports, and traveling to Deep Creek.  Most of all, Larry was known as a jokester and he cherished the time spent with his family.  In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by three brothers, Nicholas, Milton, and Eli, and four sisters, Eva, Dorothy, Pearl and Mary.  He is survived by two sons, Brian (and wife Julie) Cuturilo, and Drew Cuturilo (and Marianne), one daughter, Trish Sichko (and husband Scott), five grandchildren, Sadie Cuturilo, Madelynn Cuturilo, Brian (Rachael) Sichko, Alexa Steele (Chad), and Nicholas (Rachel) Sichko, two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Jovie, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the James W. Margaret Ferencz Gegick of North Huntingdon died on January 21, 2025. She was born on September 22, 1924, daughter of Elizabeth and George Ferencz. She was a homemaker. Margaret loved to dance and frequented the Herminie Senior Center. She was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church. Margaret is preceded in death by all of her siblings and her husband, Albert. Margaret is survived by daughters Priscilla of the area; Patricia in New Mexico; Linda and husband, Allen, in New Mexico; and Lisa and husband, James, in Colorado. She is survived also by grandson Michaeljohn and wife, Erin, and grandson Anthony. She has three great-grandchildren, Leo, Ava, and Ashleigh. Friends and family will be received at James W. Virginia M. Glagola, 80, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Clairton, was carried home by her Angel on January 19, 2025, after peacefully spending her final days at her residence surrounded by the love and support of her family. She was born September 17, 1944 in McKeesport, daughter of the late Ann Buric Logesky. Virginia enjoyed crafting, baking, and was an avid seamstress who enjoyed making her children’s clothing. Her children and grandchildren were the focus of her world, as she was selfless, caring, and compassionate, the most beautiful soul. She was formerly employed by Nigro’s Restaurant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, George L. Glagola, and sister Joanne Galensky. She is survived by her son George Glagola, daughters Gia Sanders (Jay) and Kristen Wassel, grandchildren Sarah Snyder and Caden Sanders. She is also survived by her brother Joseph (Patricia) Logesky, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private memorial service will be held at James W. Jean P. Minerva, age 80 of Irwin passed away on January 19, 2025. She was born on November 5, 1944 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late James Clugsten and Lois Connell Clugsten. Jean attended Norwin High School and she was a member of Brush Creek Lutheran Church. Jean was a great cook and she always looked forward to hosting family gatherings. She truly cherished the time she spent with her loved ones. Jean was an amazing "wrestling mom" and "wrestling grandma" and she loved to attend her family's sporting events. Most of all, Jean will be remembered for her tremendous concern for others, her amazing sense of humor, her strength, and her devotion to her family - especially her children and her loving husband of 64 years. Jean married Glenn on her 16th birthday and never looked back, proving everyone wrong who dared to doubt the strength of their bond as an ambitious young couple. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by one daughter Carrie Conroy. Terry N. Merz, age 78 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 19, 2025. He was born on May 5, 1946 in McKeesport, a son of the late Ted Merz and Ferne Crosier Merz. Terry was a veteran of the United States Navy and also a member of Sampson's Mills Presbyterian Church in White Oak. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist for PDQ Tooling. Terry was a fan of muscle cars and he also loved motorcycles. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sharon in 2002. Todd M. Carolan, age 55 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 9, 2025. He was born on July 9, 1969 in Greensburg, a son of the late John Francis Carolan Jr. and Jacqueline Smaligo Carolan. Todd was a graduate of Norwin High School in the Class of 1987, and he went on to become a driving instructor and owner of A1 Driver Training School. Todd always looked forward to working in his Thumbprint Sculpture Studio as a sculptor of clay and resin models of horror figurines. He enjoyed listening to music and watching horror movies, and he cherished his collection of vintage G.I. Joe action figures. Todd loved to read (especially Stephen King novels), and he was renowned for his knowledge of World War II history. He was also a talented tattoo artist.  In addition to his parents, Todd was preceded in death by his son Killian Carolan, and one sister Brianne Huey. He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy (Blinkhorn) Carolan, two daughters Felicia Berkepile (Dan) and Alley Scott (Mike), one brother Shawn Carolan (Susan), one sister Heather Herr (Bryan), his father-in-law Robert Blinkhorn and mother-in-law Nancy Blinkhorn, his aunt Mary Ann Wingert, and numerous nieces and nephews. John R. Snyder, age 73 of Irwin, passed away at his home on January 8, 2025.  He was born on May 9, 1951 in Braddock, a son of the late John R. Snyder Sr. and Irene Kisak Snyder.  John was raised in the Byzantine Catholic faith, and he was  a graduate of Braddock High School. He was self-employed as a general contractor.  In his free time, John enjoyed dancing, and he also served as a DJ, notably for his wife's line dancing classes.  He always looked forward to playing pool in the Shafton Firehall Billiards League, and he was an avid photographer.  In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years Debra Snyder, three brothers, Daniel "Squeaky" Snyder, Donald Snyder, and James Snyder, and two sisters Dianne Spoltore and Susie Newton.  He is survived by his son, Andrew Snyder (and wife Heidi), his daughter Carolyn Andrejcak, one brother Darryl Snyder (and wife Theresa), two sisters Deborah Filus and Pamela Aleck (and husband Thomas), and three grandchildren, Abigail, Andrew "AJ", and Thomas.  Friends will be received at the James W. David Alan Yarosik, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away suddenly on January 7, 2025. Dave was born on April 6, 1960 in Pittsburgh. He grew up in North Huntingdon, where he was a star athlete at Norwin High School (class of 1978). He was a faithful member of St. Stephen’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Dave was a devoted family man who loved his “Sweetie” Janet and his children and grandchildren above all else. Lovingly known as Pap by his grandchildren, he was happy to be an involved, dedicated, and special part of their lives. He also loved animals, especially his dog Lulu. Dave was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was dependable, fun, and generous, a steady and kind presence to all who knew him. He had a warm smile and a great laugh. He is survived by his wife Janet, his children Jennifer Belliveau (David Jones), Michael Belliveau (Kelley), and David Belliveau, his grandchildren Penelope, Theodora, and Sebastian Jones, his brother Michael Yarosik (Colleen) and their children Jason (Ann) and Ryan (Julia), and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Goldie Yarosik. Friends will be received at the James W. Todd F. DiPerna, age 59 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 3, 2025. He was born on August 21, 1965 in McKeesport, a son of Susan Sharp and the late Frank DiPerna. Todd was a member of St. Agnes Church and a graduate of Brashear High School in the class of 1983. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a salesman at White Diamond. Todd was an all-around athlete and he loved sports. He collected antiques and always looked forward to spending time at the local flea market. He enjoyed his morning coffee at Sheetz, and he was easily recognized by his beloved lime-green Dodge Ram pickup truck. Most of all, Todd was known as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. In addition to his mother, Todd is survived by his wife Maria, his stepfather Robert Sharp, his two step-children Rebecca and Matteos, one brother Kurt DiPerna (and his wife Teri), his nephew Cameron, his aunt Elaine DiPerna, and his cousins from the Sollisi family.
