Carol Ann Pici, age 87, of North Huntingdon, formerly of McKeesport, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024. She was born April 19, 1937, in Wilmerding, PA and was the daughter of the late William and Anna May (Fisher) Myers. Carol was the wife of the late Joseph P. Pici. She was employed as an Executive Secretary for many years at the McKeesport Housing Authority.

To that end, Bob worked tirelessly to help students and their parents wade through complicated government grants, loan programs, and private scholarships to patch together a financial plan to fund a Westminster education.

Karen Beth Little, age 61, died on Monday, October 14, 2024. Born December 22, 1962, in Wilmington, DE, and is the daughter of William and Dorothy “Dotty” Ashcraft. She graduated from West Virginia University in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and enjoyed working with special needs children in her early adult life. Karen loved to read and was a passionate swimmer.

Alexander John “Sam” or “Shandor” Barna, age 66, of Eighty Four, PA, formerly of West Mifflin and Duquesne, PA, died on Monday, October 14, 2024. He was born in McKeesport, PA on April 21, 1958 and was the son of the late Elmer and Irene Catherine Buchton Barna. Alexander was a former member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport, along with its Men’s Club and Choir. He was also very handy. He could fix anything that was broken and if it could not be fixed, he would build something new. God and his family were first and foremost in his life. However, his Harley and riding was a close second along with hunting and gardening.

Bernice Margaret Bosniak, age 91, of North Huntingdon, PA, died on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born in McKeesport, PA on May 9, 1933 and was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Faix Thomas. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Bosniak, who died on August 9, 2006. Bernice was a wonderful grandmother who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Luis Alberto Medina, age 80, of McKeesport, PA, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was born on the Island of Puerto Rico in Ponce on August 3, 1944, and was one of seven children to the late Calixto and Simona Rivera Medina. Luis moved state side as a child with his mother, to the city of McKeesport, where eventually he met his wife, Jaqueline “Jackie” Louise Riley.

George E. Jessup, Sr., age 86, of Liberty Borough, PA, died on Sunday, September 22, 2024. He was born in East Pittsburgh, PA on June 6, 1938 and was the son of the late Emmett E. and Violet Scott Jessup. George proudly served in the United States Army and later retired as a truck driver for Long’s Hauling. He loved Hershey candy bars, raisin cookies, and coffee.

Deborah A. Navaroli, age 71, of White Oak, PA, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. She was born in McKeesport, PA on January 31, 1953 and was the daughter of the late John and Rosemarie Miller Navaroli. Deborah was employed as a registered nurse at UPMC McKeesport for over forty years, was a very faithful person, loved spending time with her family, especially for dinner get-togethers.

William Harvey Bryer, age 94, of West Mifflin, PA, died on Friday, September 13, 2024. He was born in McKeesport, PA on December 26, 1929 and was the son of the late Henry and Matilda Noll Bryer. William proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and later retired at the age of fifty-three from US Steel Clairton Works after thirty-five years of service. He enjoyed golfing and cooking, while being nicknamed, “Master Microwave Cooker”.

Ralph Casciato, age 94, of White Oak, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Ralph was born on February 11, 1930 and raised in Rankin, PA. He is the son of the late Cesidio Casciato and Antoinette Falcone Casciato. Ralph was married to the late Eleanor Tomko Casciato for 65 years when she passed away in January, 2023. A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by sons Chris (Lisa) Casciato of New York City and Southampton, NY and Greg Casciato of Port Chester, NY, as well as grandchildren Jack, Kate, Will, James and Teddy Casciato. He is also survived by his sister Matilda Nucci of Chalfant, PA. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by sisters Mary Latinovic and Lena Sciulli of Rankin, PA and Ann Mantia of Swissvale, PA.

He was the husband of the late Alice M. Pasternak Scheetz, who died on October 27, 2021.
