He was an entertainer his entire adult life and was the lead singer for the Vogues for over 30 years. He then went on to create a Rat Pack Tribute.

Maxine Helen Miller, age 88, of Port Vue, PA, died on Monday, July 15, 2024. She was born in Turtle Creek, PA on September 18, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Max and Elizabeth Hodgson Brickley. Maxine was a 1953 graduate of Turtle Creek High School. She was employed at Westinghouse, then EMT Service, and later as an office manager for a podiatry office. She was a member of the former Glassport Assembly of God (now River City Church AG) for over 35 years. Maxine’s interests included playing piano in her band, “Just Us”, at retirement homes, in her church, as well as participating in Vacation Bible School and Missionettes. She enjoyed archery, bowling, was an extremely talented seamstress, and made the most beautiful crafts. She also enjoyed writing children’s books.

Robert “Bob” Leroy Dougherty, Jr., age 74, of Rostraver Twp., PA, died on Monday, July 15, 2024. He was born in Elizabeth, PA on March 14, 1950 and was the son of the late Robert Leroy, Sr. and Lois Jean McKown Dougherty. Bob was a dedicated volunteer for sporting events at Serra Catholic High School, and was very active in church support at St. Joseph’s in Port Vue and St. Angela’s in White Oak. His hobbies included running, biking, kayaking, and volunteering with the Mon/Yough Trail Council. He enjoyed several years of retirement in The Villages, FL before returning to Pittsburgh in 2020 to be with his family. Certainly, God has prepared an extensive cookie table in Heaven to welcome “Cookie Bob”.

Philly, or “Butch” as many of his friends and loved ones called him, was born on September 20, 1937, in McKeesport Hospital to Philip and Eleanor Helderlein. He grew up in Glassport, PA, and graduated from St. Peter’s High School in McKeesport, PA. Phil was the second generation of sign makers continuing to operate Helderlein Signs, a staple of the McKeesport community, which was in business for a remarkable 94 years.

He was a proud member of the NRA, a lifelong Browns fan, a huge fan of Dale Ernhart, Sr. and was such a strong, honest and good man, along with being a terrific provider for his family.
