Francis "Frank" Theodore Cendar
Frank retired in 1994 from the University of Pittsburgh as a Student Loans and Special Accounts Manager. He was a graduate of McKeesport High School and Duquesne University and received his Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran serving in the European Theater. Frank was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish. He was an avid fly fisherman and loved spending time outdoors in the Pennsylvania Laurel Mountains. Frank was a member of the McKeesport Sportsman Association and a follower of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. He enjoyed skiing, ice skating, and traveling around the world to all seven continents.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Robert) Didden and Janine (Grant) Peckham both of Alexandria, Virginia; grandchildren, Matthew, William, Jessica Didden, Richard and Steven Peckham; sister, Carol Conlin of Wheeling, West Virginia; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Frank was also preceded in death by his sister, Sister Flora Cendrosky, R. S. M.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 10 a.m., at St. Michael's Church of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish. Committal prayers, military honors, and burial will follow in New St. Joseph's Cemetery of North Versailles.
