Lillian Sydoriak, age 91 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 in Mon Valley Hospital. Born August 15, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Miodrag and Agnes (Ludwig) Ivanovich. Lillian was a member of Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Baldwin and the former St. Mary's Serbian Orthodox Church in Clairton. She also worked in the former DiCesare's Shoe Store in Clairton. Besides her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Sydoriak, who passed away March 24, 2003, and her sisters Ellen Perch and Marion Zombek. She is survived by her daughter Lillian Tintor, with whom she resided, and also her nieces and nephews.

Martin A. Lyons Jr., 82, of North Huntingdon, passed away, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at home. He was born July 14, 1939 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Martin and Margaret Ann (Hugo) Lyons. Prior to his retirement, Martin was a self-employed contractor and a member of St. Agnes Parish. He was a graduate of Norwin Sr. High School Class of '57 and was part of the McDonalds Breakfast Club Plugger's. He enjoyed riding his quad in the woods, hunting, camping and coon hunting. Marty assisted in canine police dog training and loved spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael, brothers, John, Larry and Eugene, and sister, Helen Bouldin. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Morrison) Lyons; sons, Marty (Stephanie Botti); daughters, Beth (Brett) Lyons-Sternburger, Patricia (Logan) Caswell; brothers, Tom, Joseph and Danny Lyons, sisters, Mary Jo Batley, Margie Warden and Cecelia Marie Lyons; grandchildren, Zachary, Shannen (Dustin), Paige (David), Molly, Logan, Delaney, Jillian; and 4 great-grandchildren. William “Bill” Fekety, age 68 of Clairton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. He was born on August 1, 1953, one of two children of William Eugene Fekety, Sr. and Barbara Ellen (King) Fekety.
Bill was a graduate of Clairton High School class of 1971. He served in the U. S. Air Force as a communications specialist retiring after 20 years of service. During his military service he served in Germany and Belgium. After his military career, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

On Sunday, April 3, 2022, Garnett Ruth Fencik, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 95.
Garnett was born on January 5, 1927 in McKeesport, PA to Wilbert and Blanche (Hitchens) Miller. She graduated from high school, where she met her lifelong soulmate, Edward Fencik, whom she married on July 11, 1947 after he completed service in WWII. Together they happily raised a daughter Cathy, and a son Don. She was a devoted housekeeper and hospital aide.
Garnett was an excellent cook, homemaker, and carer during times of sickness. She liked crocheting and created beautiful afghans, that she enjoyed giving to others. She showered her family with affection, gifts, and went with them often on places to see, things to do, and vacations. She taught and instilled very early in her children the values of a good life, treating others with kindness and respect, the importance of a good education, and a love of books. Her family, friends, and all who knew her will remember her joyfulness, and her kind, compassionate, and helpful spirit. She will be missed greatly.

Suzanne D. Keller, age 82, of Pleasant Hills and formerly of Wilson passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital. Born September 16, 1939 in Glassport, she was a daughter of the late William Erskine and Elizabeth (Hughes) Duncan. Suzanne worked as a claims adjuster for Highmark in Pittsburgh and was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth. Suzanne loved doing needlework and cooking for others. She was preceded in death by her husband Kevin Blake Keller. Suzanne is survived by her children Mary Beth Keller of Pleasant Hills, Sean (Beth) Keller of Baldwin, and Kevin (Helen) Keller of Beaver; grandchildren Blake Keller, Andrew (Leah) Golletti, and Brandon, Seth, and Katie Keller; great-grandson, Milo; siblings Joseph (Cynthia) and Kathleen Duncan; foster siblings James (Marti) and Mary Lee Dill; and also nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings William Duncan and Catherine Kyslinger, and foster brother Hugh Dill.

Frank D. Villi (Parkway Frank), 92, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at Kane Regional Medical Center in McKeesport on April 8, 2022. He was born Dec. 27, 1928 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Dominic James and Mary Theresa (Arena) Villi and also preceded in death by his wife, Anna C. (Vucetic) Villi; daughter Catherine Rose Villi and son Dominic Villi; brothers Vincenzo, Nicolas and Vincent Villi; sisters Rose Bilotti, Mary Grace Savena, Eva James, Viola Graves and Katherine Kotvas. Frank started his career with many jobs at the age of 15. He was a salesman for Holland Furnace, Inc. established 1953. He was a Veteran of the Airforce in WWII, stationed in Japan and Germany with an Officer ran of Corporal. Frank is a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #803 and a lifetime member of Mon Valley Plumbers Association and a Master Plumber for over 50 years. He is a member of Mary Mother of God Parish in White Oak. He is survived by his daughter Fran (Ron) Sabolcik of Mt. Vernon; daughter-in-law Janis Morga Villi of Port Vue; grandsons Frank Sabolcik, Nick Villi and Brandon (Tina Goodrum) Villi; brother Joe (Kathleen Roethlein) Villi of Boston; and many nieces and nephews which he adored. He was born January 8, 1958 in McKeesport, a son of the late Samuel and Harriett (Bjornberg) Wood. Martin was an electrical estimator for W.R. Casteel Chapman and CED Mosebach. He was a member of the Life Church, Greensburg and was a graduate of Norwin Sr. High School, Class of ’75. He enjoyed skeet shooting, fishing and riding motorcycles. William J. Riley, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Monday, April 4, 2022. Born February 13, 1935, a son of the late Moral and Alice (Pearson) Riley in McKeesport, he lived every day to the fullest and was a very athletic and proud man. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Evelyn Gross (Eve,) both graduates of McKeesport High School. His children William G (wife Linda), Tamara Brady (husband Thomas of Exton, PA), and Timothy (wife Kathy of Winchester, VA) were the beneficiaries of Bill’s drive to be a fantastic father who worked late into the evenings to be available for play during daylight hours. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; Matthew Soohey, Amanda (Matt) Flamman, Ashley Riley, Allison Riley, Kelsey Riley, Riley Brady, Noah Brady and Brandon Riley. William, an Army veteran, was a wealth manager for Riley Financial Strategies Group, where his oldest son, Bill had the privilege of working with him for 25 years. Bill is also survived by his only brother, Robert (wife Judy) with whom he spent many weekends fishing in Potter County.
Bill was an avid sports fan, especially Pittsburgh sports, as a season ticket holder to the Steelers, Penguins and Pitt Panthers for many years. Him and Evelyn spent many years playing golf with their good friends from Pleasant Valley Country Club and Lincoln Hills, the course where he achieved one of his TWO holes in one (the other was in Sedona, AZ). Him and Eve also spent many days playing tennis with Drennan Heights neighbors. The Drennan community was very tight knit and a neighborhood of weekly picnics and sports contests. Bill and his sons froze the side yard for a hockey rink in the winter months, once even having the fire company stop by to fill the rink. Bill loved travelling with Evelyn, especially to Las Vegas and many golf destinations. Bill truly believed he had a great life and his family got to enjoy his life and those memories will be treasured forever.

John Michael Schmitt, 48, of Jeannette, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his home. He was born March 31, 1974 in Jeannette, a son of the late Robert and Geraldine (Martchek) Schmitt. John was a graduate of Penn Trafford Senior High School and went onto graduate from Geneva College earning a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He played defensive lineman for Geneva and was inducted into the Penn Trafford Hall of Fame and Geneva College Hall of Fame. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Wagner. He is survived by his daughter, Ashlee; brother, Jeremy; grandmother, Anna Wagner; loving friends, Robyn McGhee and BJ Howard; longtime friend and coach, Geno DeMarco; and many loving family members.
