Steve Katrenic, age 93 of Versailles and formerly of Port Vue and North Huntingdon, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016 in Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth. Born May 16, 1922 in Port Vue, he was a son of the late Steve Katrenic, Sr. and Susan (Wargo) Katrenic. A retired raker for Trumbull Corporation and a member of St. Mark's Parish, Steve was a World War II Veteran of the US Navy.

Vincent J. Villi, 91, of Irwin, died at home Friday January 22, 2016. He was born August 12, 1924 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Dominic James and Mary Teresa (Arena) Villi and was also preceded in death by his wife Dolores E. (Willett) Villi, brothers, sisters, and a grandson. He retired as the owner of the Odds and Ends Shoppe, Irwin. He started his working career as a manager for Holland Furnace Co., Buffalo, NY, then returned to the area as a partner of Parkway Furnace & Supply, Glassport, and then owned and operated Sam’s Auto Sales of McKeesport.

Betty Mae Helmick, age 83, of Glassport, died January 23, 2016, at John J. Kane Regional Medical Center. Born May 20, 1932, in Petersburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Beulah (Shreves) Simmons and the wife of the late William Harrison Helmick.
Betty dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a devoted Christian and lifelong member of the Glassport Assembly of God Church, where she was the former treasurer. She loved to bake and make homemade soups. Betty would open her home and heart to anyone that she touched in her life.

Carol J. Coccia, age 69, of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of White Oak, died January 21, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born March 16, 1946, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine (Sowa) Heveker and the wife of Samuel G. Coccia, Sr.
Carol retired as a travel agent from the former Cosmopolitan Agency and she was the secretary at Larry’s Hotel in McKeesport. She attended the Greenock United Methodist Church. She was a McKeesport Majorette Drill Team Aid and the President of the Greenock Elementary PTA and she was a volunteer for the Greater Pittsburgh Soap Box Derby for many years. She was the best friend and grandmother you could ever ask for.

Leslie William "Coby" Beresford, 64, of Monongahela, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at home. He was born August 18, 1951 in Charleroi and was the son of the late Leslie R. Beresford and the late Josephine Roberts Beresford Kaminsky. He was the husband of the late Linda B. Beresford who died September 20, 2009. Leslie was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church in New Eagle and the Victory Hill Social Club. He was a USMC Veteran and served from 1969-71. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing, Car Shows and Motorcycles. Leslie was an auto mechanic and had worked for Speedy Muffler King in McKeesport and Penn Hills.

THOMAS J. GAMBAL, 73, died Jan. 22, 2016. He is the son of Helen (Suchta) Gambal and thelate Joseph Gambal. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Sikora) Gambal; son Eric Gambal; brother Donald (Grace) Gambal of Parma, OH; aunt, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tom was a member of Holy Trinity Church. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church at a later date.

George D. McAtee Jr., 90, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at home. He was born March 14, 1925 in McKeesport and was the son of the late George D. McAtee Sr. and the late Catherine M. Bauerschmidt McAtee. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in North Huntingdon and White Oak American Legion. George was proprietor of the George D. McAtee Co., and was a WWII Veteran serving in the USMC in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre.
