Lorraine Marie Hays Zajicek, age 94, of McKeesport died on Monday, January 23, 2017.  She was born in McKeesport on August 10, 1922. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Carl J. Zajicek, and was the daughter of the late Clifford R. and Lillian Dietrich Hays, stepdaughter of Lillian McMarlin Hays, and granddaughter of Rose and Robert Hays.

Edward Eugene Humphreys, 75, of McKeesport, died January 23, 2017, with his sister by his side.  She was there for him when he needed her, and was his best friend.  Beloved son of the late Edward R. and Isabelle C. McBride Humphreys, their first born.  They were truly blessed to have a wonderful son.  He was their life, and he gave them nothing but happiness.  His life was fulfilled with the love that he got from his parents.  He was a kind hearted person and everyone loved him.  He always had a joke to tell to make someone smile or laugh.  He loved playing the guitar and going to the park.  He worked for Francis McBride Wall Coverings as a wall paper hanger, and served in the U.S. Navy.  He had a heart of gold and a wonderful soul, and a kind, loving, and sweet spirit.  With his laugh and his smile, he helped ease the pain and suffering of many.  Now he is at peace, free from his own pain and suffering.  When you love someone, every moment is shadowed by the fear of loss.  The more you loved, the more you feel the loss.  His death leaves a giant hole in the hearts of his many family members and friends.  Today we are not saying goodbye, but only saying we will see you again.  He is survived by his brother, Steven Humphreys of McKeesport and his sister, Sally Humphreys of McKeesport, also by his beloved pets, Max, Abigal, and Maggie, who loved him with all their hearts.  The Yorkies were the joy of his life. Friends will be received in the Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 on Friday, January 27, 2017, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, where a Blessing will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner at 3:30 PM.

Paul Keenan, age 84, of White Oak died on Saturday January 21, 2017. He was born in McKeesport on October 11, 1932 and is the son of the late James and Gladys Jordan Keenan. He retired from USS National Tube as an engineer and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member at St. Angela Merici Church, the Croatian Club in Versailles, 6th ward EBA Club in McKeesport, and the White Oak America Legion Post 701. He was the former senior vice commander of the East McKeesport VFW post 8430, and past governor of the former Moose Club in McKeesport.

He is survived by his wife; Dolores DiPerna Keenan, step-sons; Paul (Linda) Skalski of West Mifflin, Peter (Cynthia) Skalski of Essex, MD, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412-678-6177), on Tuesday January 24th from 4 pm until 8 pm. She was a retired Registered Nurse with 40 years service at McKeesport Hospital. She was a 1953 graduate of Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish and their former Women's Guild. She loved traveling and card playing. She was an avid reader and a passionate football fan and booster for Duquesne, West Mifflin and McKeesport High School. She was active in the former West Mifflin Annex Senior Citizens. When asked, "how are you?" she would say, "overworked and underpaid!" Beloved wife of the late Michael C. Miles Milkovich, 99, of Glassport, died Thursday January 19, 2017. He was born December 31, 1917 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Mile and Smilja Lalich Milkovich . He was the husband of the late Elizabeth D. "Betty" (Babyak) Milkovich who died October 28, 2011. Miles was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, McKeesport and its Men's Club. He was also a member of National Tube's Foreman's Club and the Glassport American Legion Post 443 where he was recently honored as the oldest member.
