Rita C. Hadbavny, 84, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Excela Health Westmoreland. She was born September 21, 1931 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary DeVera Pavlik. Rita was a member of St. Agnes Parish. She was a loving mother who enjoyed being a homemaker and enjoyed spending time gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Hadbavny; son, Timothy Hadbavny; brothers, Andrew, Joseph, Cyril Pavlik; sister, Irene Pavasik; and grandson, Daniel. She is survived by her sons, Michael Hadbavny, David Hadbavny and his wife, Cindee, Robert Hadbavny and his wife, Barb; daughter, Eileen Iwinski and her husband, Chuck; grandchildren, Scott, Kelly, Adam, Ryan, Jason, Jennifer, Justin, Joshua, Brandi; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Brooke, Justin, Cora, Conor, Brayden, Jocelyn; sister, Dolores Bombara; and her furry companion, Jackie. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. A blessing service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Patricia Spahr Miller, 80, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at her home. She was born February 23, 1936 in Greensburg, PA, daughter of the late Charles and Alice Herold Spahr. Patricia was co-owner of Herminie Feed and Supply, Irwin and McKeesport stores. She was an active member of Circleville United Methodist Church, where she was a past member of the Church Council, past member of the Board of Trustees, prayer group, and volunteer for the Vacation Bible School. She was past chairman of Reseda Jr. Women's Club, Reseda, CA, past chairman of North Irwin Jr. Women's Club, Mother Advisor of the Order of the Rainbow Girls and Den Mother for BSA. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William H. Miller; sons, Kevin Miller, Rev's. Kenneth Miller and his wife, Denise; daughter, Nadine Miller-Haelle and her husband, Frank; brother, Thomas Spahr and his wife, Donna; sister, Bonnie Koury; four grandchildren, Craig (Claudia) Miller, Kyle (Anna) Haelle, Justin Miller, Jenae Haelle; five great-grandchildren, Kristian, Alejandra, Sierra, Halley and William. Gerald P. “Jerry” Dilla, 79, of Irwin, died at home Thursday March 31, 2016. He was born November 21, 1936 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Eugene and Mary Dilla and was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. He was a retired baking supervisor for Braun Baking Co., Pittsburgh and a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin. Jerry enjoyed spending time at his cabin on the Allegheny River and loved to fish. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict era.
