Theresa (Patella) Bacco of North Versailles passed unexpectedly on November 20, 2024 at the age of 95. Theresa was the devoted wife of the late Frank Bacco for 72 years. She was the loving Mother of Francis Bacco, and special Grandma of Christine (Mark) Filburn, Matthew (Ryan) Bacco, Alexis Bacco and Allyson (Ryan Bilsky) Bacco as well as four great-grandchildren: Justine, Jeremy and Jada Filburn and Carson Bacco. She also is survived by her siblings Anne (Patella) Jurczak and Frank Patella of Sarasota, Fl., as well as many nieces and nephews.
Theresa was preceded in death by her son Anthony (Tony) Bacco, her parents, Nicholas and Concetta Patella, and sibling John Patella.

Joseph Lucarelli Jr. passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the age of 72. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 40 years Marilyn. He was the adored father of Daneen (Rick) Peremba of South Park and Melissa (Mark) Matesich of Arizona. Adored Pappy of Courtney McNeal, Aaron (Monica) Peremba and Shane Peremba and great grandson, Hanson.
Joe is also survived by his sisters Bernie (late Bobby) Marcoz and twin sister Mildred “Dee” (late Guy) DiMatteo. Proceeded in passing by parents Joseph and Mildred (Vuic) Lucarelli and sister Marilyn “Chubby” Lucarelli. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and all who loved Joe.
Joe most enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, going to the casino, playing cards, and of course Steeler Football. Joe had a very special place in his heart for his two dogs “kids” Mya and Chloe. Joe attracted everyone with his smile, outgoing personality, and witt. “To know Joe was to love him.”

Sarah Jean “Sally” (Tucker) Vinsick, of White Oak, peacefully passed on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the age of 89.
Sally enjoyed many things in life including shopping and trips to the casino. She loved all holiday, especially Christmas. She loved to cook. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with all of them.
Sally was the loving mother of Denise (late Craig) McCoy, Nick (Missy) Vinsick, Joe Vinsick, and the late Renee Wasilewski. She was the adoring grandmother of John Vinsick, Sean Vinsick, Vanessa Vinsick, and Cameron (Ashlie) Clark; great-grandmother of Krista Vinsick, Nathan Vinsick, Ricco Vinsick, Max Vinsick, and Cynder Clark. Sally is also survived by her sister, Maggie Lorenc, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Nancy Pecora, 87, of Harrison City, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 18, 2024. She was born May 7 th , 1937, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Edward C. Bergquist and Hilda Mildred Bergquist. She was a graduate of Westinghouse Memorial High School with the class of 1955. Nancy dedicated her life to children as she was recognized for her 50 years of service as cafeteria manager at Penn Middle School in Harrison City. She also was a member of St. Barbara’s Roman Catholic Church, Harrison City. Nancy loved to spend her time cooking amazing “ronis,” gardening in her many flowerbeds, and taking spontaneous trips with her family to Tastyland. She also loved to play “ball” with her favorite buddy, Riley.

David Cifone, of North Versailles, formerly of Clearwater, Fl, passed on June 10, 2024, at the age of 73. David was the son of the late Anthony and late Edna (Coletta) Cifone.
He is survived by his brother, Robert (Christine) Cifone and numerous nieces and nephews. In additions to his parents, David was preceded in passing by his brothers, James and Jack Cifone.
David lived in Clearwater, Florida for numerous years. He was a proud U.S. Airforce Veteran, who served his country during the Vietnam War. David was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Marlene F. Kucera, of North Versailles, passed on April 9th 2024, at the age of 75. She will be greeted in loving embrace by her parents, Dorris (Mull) and Irvine Kucera, sister, Ellen M. Meacham, and brother, I. Duane Kucera who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Donald Meacham, sister-in-law, Jacqueline Kucera. She was the loving aunt of Lesa (John) Toncich, Jolene Marie (Blair) Bogdan, Justin Kucera, and Alita (Chris) East.; great-aunt of Dominic Toncich, Parker Bogdan, Cooper Bogdan, Spencer Bogdan, Jacob East, and Jamisyn East.
Marlene lived in Green Valley all her life. She graduated from Westinghouse Memorial High School / East Allegheny School District in 1966, and was a member of Junior Achievement. She also attended Forbes Road East Technical School for printing. She worked for Baierl Chevrolet for 12 years. She also worked at JD Printing, WEBCO, Sir Speedy Printing, and managed RBJ Graphics. She was a member and officer of Pathfinder Credit Union / United Community Federal Credit Union. She retired in 2011.

Helen Janet Morris, 89, originally of East McKeesport, PA, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, at the age of 89, at Riverside Nursing Home, McKeesport, PA. She was born March 1, 1935, daughter of late Earnest and Helen (Borek) Morris. Beloved sister of the late Mary Louise (Richard) Rawa and the late David Morris. Helen is survived by nephews Joseph (Marlene) Marsh, James (Debbie) Marsh and niece Karen Marsh (John Dallas). Janet had many great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.
Janet was raised in East McKeesport, PA and attended St John’s Lutheran Church there. She attended school at the Westinghouse High School in Wilmerding, PA. Janet was known to be a very hard worker. She made a living for herself as a waitress all her life. She worked for years at the Mountain View Inn and Restaurant near Greensburg, PA and most recently at Carbone’s Restaurant in Crabtree, PA. Janet also lived in Crabtree. Janet was a joyful and kind person who was fun to be around. She will be missed.

John Lucarelli, of Wilmerding, peacefully passed on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the age of 82. John was the devoted husband of Diane (Lucas) Lucarelli.
Loving father of Angela Lucarelli-Kutz and Maureen Lucarelli, proud grandfather of Katie, Lindsey, and Johnny Kutz. He is also survived by his brother, Sonny Lucarelli, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Lewis and Mary (Welsh) Lucarelli, and siblings, Kitty Pabst, Peggy Lou Hall, and Buddy Lucarelli.
John was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed reading, gardening, and fixing things around the house. He was very laid back, reliable and knowledgeable.

Joanne (Petrulli) Petriske, 87, of McKeesport, PA passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at UPMC East Hospital.
Born April 5, 1936 in McKeesport, PA the daughter of late Michael and Angie (Gladowski) Petrulli. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her brothers, Kenneth (surviving Jayne) and Anthony Petrulli.
Joanne, the most loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and aunt of son Anthony (Renee) Rosner of North Huntington PA and the adoring grandmother of Alissity, Adelynn, and Anthony. She is survived by her niece, Devonna Petrulli of McKeesport, PA; nephew, Michael Petrulli of Jacksonville, FL, numerous friends, fur grand children (Shakespeare, Scarlett, Teak, Romeo, and Juliette), and great fur niece Versace (Veve).
Upon graduation from Mckeesport High School, Joanne spent her many years in the business industry. She was the owner of Joanne's Provincial Parlor in Rainbow Shopping Center, Panini Italian Grocery Store, Cupid Vending Machines, and Kenny P's where she was the house chef. Joanne, also spent many years employed at Palmer's Pontiac Dealer in McKeesport. Alongside of these professions, she was McKeesport's infamous "Bookkeeper".
In Joanne's spare time she enjoyed cooking for others, doing crossword puzzles, reading romance paperback novels, and sitting on the front porch with her great fur niece Versace (Veve).

John E. “Spanny” Pekich, formerly of Wall, passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 87. Spanny was the beloved husband of Patricia “Isha” (Bonnar) Pekich for 53 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Christina (James) Perry and Jennifer (Brian) Urso. He is also survived by his brother, Bob (Donna) Pekich, sister-in-law, Dorothy (Bob) Romano, brother-in-law, Tom (Marybeth) Bonnar, special granddog, Emma, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and all who loved him. Spanny was preceded in passing by his parents, John and Elizabeth (Milivovich) Pekich, and infant sister, Mildred Pekich.
Spanny was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed golfing and playing poker. He was a hard worker who worked as a carpet installer and with Service Master until he was 80. Most of all, he was a dedicated husband and father who adored his family, especially his daughters.

Nellie (Kurzynski) Shurgot, of North Versailles, peacefully passed on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the age of 86. She was born on July 2, 1937 in Pozan, Poland, at the start of World War II. Nellie was the loving mother of Stephen (Paula) Shurgot. Adoring grandmother of Stephanie (Geremy) Goldstein and Jason Shurgot; great grandmother of Sebastian, Colin, and Peyton Goldstein. Nellie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, the extended Seese family, and all who loved her. She was preceded in passing by her husband Walter Shurgot, parents, Thomas and Julia (Bogucka) Kurzynski, brother, Joe Kurzynski, and sister, Stefka Rytel.
Nellie immigrated to the United States thru Ellis Island from Poland at the age of 15. She brought many delicious Polish recipes with her, that she shared with family and friends. She was known as “Nutroll Lady”. Nellie enjoyed trips to the flea market and the casino. She was a Game Show Network connoisseur in her spare time. Her greatest joy was her son was Steve, and family was her entire life.

Shirley Lois (McMillen) Knezevich, of North Versailles, peacefully passed on September 5, 2023, at the age of 94, with her loving family at her side.
Shirley was the loving mother of Nicole McEwen, Lisa (Eugene) Kligmann and Noel (Joseph) Saccameno; adoring grandmother of 9 and great-grandma of 1.
Shirley was preceded in passing by her husband, Nicholas Knezevich, daughter, Kim Ann Marjenhoff, and parents, Harold and Alice (Stewart) McMillen. Shirley’s creativity led her to attend art school and she became a professional artist. She taught art classes at the senior centers in Braddock and Turtle Creek.
She loved to read and was an active member of Friends of the Library at the North Versailles Library. She was on the Board of Directors of the Wilmerding YMCA. She loved swimming and swam several miles a week. She also loved to travel. Above all, Shirley loved her family. She will be deeply missed by all.

Frank “Tee” Grubbs, of White Oak, peacefully passed on August 29, 2023 at the age of 57. Tee was the devoted husband of Dana (Fairfull) Grubbs for 34 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Celina (Sebastian), Joshua Eathorne. Tee was the special brother of John Grubbs. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, David and Darlene Fairfull (Bucky), brother-in-law, Darin (Brenda) Fairfull, nephews, Julian Grubbs, Andrew Fairfull, and Ryan Ireland, niece, Dr. Aubree Fairfull, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in passing by his daughter, Ashlee Grubbs, parents, Paul “Bones” and Shirley (Driggers) Grubbs, and nephew, Jonathan Grubbs.
Tee was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Duquesne Annex, Pa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He loved riding his motorcycle. Tee was a loyal man, friend, and brother of the Dogs of Fire. Above all else, he was a loving, honest, and loyal husband, father, and brother.

Paula Comunale, a beautiful soul, of North Versailles, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at the age of 60. Paula was the beloved daughter of Lawrence (Charlette) Comunale and the late Phyllis Comunale.
She was the loving sister of Sharon (late Daniel) White and the late Faye Comunale. In addition to her sister, Sharon, she is survived by stepsiblings Dennis (Ruth) Byers, Rene (Danny) Sampson, Robyn (Mike) Rodriguez and Larry (Lori) Comunale Jr. She is also survived by her special nephew, Joshua (Monica) White, grandnieces, Abby and Ally, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, caregivers, and Stellar Support Services family.
Paula was full of life and lit up the room. She made her family better by being here on earth. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Paula was not limited due to her disabilities. She enjoyed crafting and playing video games. She was enjoying Kennywood the day before she passed. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
