Alan McCracken, 69, died May 31 2023. Born August 28, 1953, son of the late Edgar McCracken and Helen (George) Fitzsimmons. Beloved husband of Lorraine (Kirkpatrick) McCracken. Loving and special dad of Tara McCracken. Brother of Bill McCracken and the late Shirley Jaffre and late Melvin McCracken. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Alan was a wonderful husband and father. He enjoyed bowling, antique cars, Harley motorcycles and NASCAR. He will be missed by many.

James was the father of Marcia (Dave) Abel; Adorin grandfather of Matthew Abel, Sara (Allen) Forsythe, Ranae Kalkbrenner, Dustin (Amber) Kalkbrenner, Micheal Abel; great-grandfather of Grace, Braelynn, Brody, Benjamin, Levi, and Melody. Basilio “Moose” Falleroni

Basilio “Moose” Falleroni, of White Oak, passed on May 8, at the age of 92, with his loving children at his side. Moose was the beloved husband of Susan (Muro) Falleroni for 67 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Anthony (Norma) Falleroni and Angela (Greg) Kulczycki, and adoring grandfather of Noah Kulczycki. He is also survived by his good friend, Molly Farina, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his wife, Susan, Moose was preceded in passing by his parents, Antonia and Marie (Maurizi) Falleroni, and siblings, Jean (Alfred) Orsulak and Theresa (Jack) Simpson. 

Moose was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, going to the casino, and being with his friends. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandson, Noah.

Cherished sister of John (Melissa Howard) Belchick, the late George (Gloria) Belchick, and Karen (Fred) Wenger.

Loving mother of Diane (Frank) Kolesha, Thomas V (Cheryl) Monzo, Jr., Laura (Robert) Perry, Elizabeth (Andrew) Coghe, and Dean (Lisa) Monzo.

Adoring grandmother of 10 grandchildren, Frank Kolesha, Christian (Courtney) Kolesha, Ashley Monzo, 2nd Lieutenant Lucas Monzo, Alexandra (Ryan) Pearson, Stephen Perry, Olivia Coghe, Amanda Coghe, Gianna Monzo, and Lia Monzo.

Three great grandchildren Ellie and Lillian Pearson and Maverick Kolesha.

Mary (Tucci) Woody, 88, of North Huntingdon (formerly of East McKeesport) died April 24, 2023. She was born on February 11, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Leonard Tucci, Sr. and Mary (Venuto) Tucci. She was the beloved wife of Ronald J. Woody, Jr. for 60 years and was his 24/7 caretaker for 5 years prior to his death. She was the proud mother of Ronald Jay Woody (Marianne Ondeck Woody) of Murrysville and David Alan Woody of North Huntingdon. Mary was preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Michael, Albert, Leonard, John, William and James. She was also preceded in death by sisters Louise Comunale and Edith Tucci. Surviving is a brother, Richard Tucci of North Huntingdon. She is also survived by close sisters-in-law; Sister Barbara Woody of Sisters of St. Francis in Syracuse, New York and Janet Woody of North Huntingdon. Mary was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport.

Sharren (Hutsenpiller) Breakey, of East McKeesport, passed on Friday, March 24, 2023, at the age of 71. She was the devoted wife of Gerald Breakey for 37 years. She was the loving mother of George Boehm, Christian Boehm, and the late Earl Boehm; adoring grandmother of Spencer, Bailey, Christian, George, Connor, and Chance. Sharren is also survived by her sister, Louise George, her mother-in-law, Evelyn Felmlee, other relatives, and many friends. In addition to her son Earl, she was preceded in passing by her parents, Charles and Dorothy (Huemme) Hutsenpiller.

Those who knew Sharren knew her as someone full of love for animals, for her garden, and most of all for her family and friends.  She loved her knitting, crocheting, sewing and other crafting, always sharing her work with others.  She was an avid reader especially loving the British mysteries. She also loved to cook. Her cheerful attitude and wisdom were shared with many people in her life.

He was the loving father of Christopher (Courtney) Lepsch, Cassandra (Jai) Major, and adoring grandfather of Jason. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Rose Ann (Dennis) Torok and Kathy (late Guy) Esposito, sister-in-law, Ella (Donnie) Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob loved music and Godzilla. He also loved cars, especially Hot Rods. He enjoyed Martial Arts and was a certified “Ninja”. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. They were the center of his world.

Loving mother of Joseph (Sharon) Zomp and Michael (Kelly) Zomp. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and all who loved her. Catherine “Chip” Goykovich, of North Versailles, passed on January 20, 2023, at the age of 85. Chip is survived by her siblings, Joann Kause, Eugene Goykovich and Steve Goykovich, numerous nieces and nephews, and friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Steve and Sue (Filosemi) Goykovich, and brother, Arthur “Babe” Goykovich.

Family was most important to Chip. She loved her nieces and nephews. She was a second mom to her nephew Ricci, and helped raise him.

Glenda Louise Stoll daughter of Edith Macey and Andrew Macey peacefully passed on the 11th of January 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. Glenda is survived by her loving husband William Stoll of 48 years. Loving mom of Robin (Kevin) Barcus, Glenn (Gina) Stoll and William Stoll jr. Special grandma of 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Special sister to Andrew Macey Sr. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and all who loved her.

Glenda was a light in the world. Always wearing a smile on her face everywhere she went. She enjoyed taking pictures and spending time with family. She made people feel special, always remembering any important event with cards and messages. She enjoyed writing daily in her journals and living her life for the Lord. Donna was the devoted wife of the late Patrick Stetar Sr. Loving mother of Victoria (Eric) Stetar-Logan, Kimberly Ann (Robert) Stetar-Platz, Ricky Alan (Cheryl) Stetar; adoring grandmother of 8 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marion Painter, brother, James Farrow, many other relatives, and many friends. In addition to her husband, Donna was preceded in passing by her son, Patrick J. Stetar Jr., parents, James and Laura Ann (Nelson) Farrow, and sister, Audrey Hreha.

Donna had a heart of pure gold. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, who raised 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Her family was the most important part of her life. She loved them all dearly, and they will miss her all deeply.

Lawrence "Larry" Sobek passed on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the age of 86, with his loving family at his side.  Larry was the loving and devoted husband of Helena (Cortazzo) for 61 years.  Larry was the son of the late Albert Sobek and Margaret (Toth), stepson of Rosalie (Franks) Sobek.  Beloved brother of Dolores Krisher, brother-in-law to Lois Cortazzo and the late Pat Cortazzo and late Margaret Ily.

Devoted father to his children, Larry Jr. (Daria), Elaine (late Kenny) Zucarelli, Timmy (Stacey) and Cynthia (Tom) Bowman.  Loving Pap to his Grandchildren, Larry III, Ryan, Andy, Seth, Daria, Leanna, Dominic, Natalie, and Sofia. And Great Grandchildren Sebastian, Jake, and Emma.
 
Larry worked for United Airlines as a reservationist for 35 years.  He worked in Pittsburgh then the office transferred to Cleveland where he commuted every weekend back and forth to Pittsburgh.  He then was transferred to Virginia and retired from the airline. He realized that he was too young to retire and began his employment with Alfieri Funeral Home.  He was a dedicated employee and loved comforting many families in their difficult times for 18 years. Larry was a proud US Navy Veteran. A lifelong member of the Wilmerding Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the board of the East Boros Hall of Fame. He is a lifetime member of St. Aloysuis now known as St. Joseph the Worker Parish.  He is a graduate of Rankin High School and Wilmerding resident for over 61 years.

Antionette "Toni" Rizzo of North Versailles passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at the age of 93. Toni was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Marrianne Iovino of Swissvale. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Rizzo and dear mother of Gene (Lorraine) of North Versailles, Larry of Sarasota, Florida, and the late Guy Rizzo; loving grandmother of Vincent Brannan, Bridgeville. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ulis, but preceded in death by siblings Grace Devlin, Lou Iovino, and Bridgette Gailbreath. Toni is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
 
Toni worked at Mercy Hospital, A & P Bakery, Westinghouse Switchgear Credit Union, and later volunteered at the Senior Center in Turtle Creek. She loved spending her leisure time at her summer cabin in Pymatuning and sharing it with friends and family as often as possible. She enjoyed cooking and reading, but above all else, helping others.

Elizabeth “Jean” Ponitz, originally from Wilmerding, earned her angel wings at St. Anne’s Home on Monday, October 24, 2022. She was born in Wall, PA on December 31, 1928, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Arendas. Jean, as she was called by her family and friends, worked in retail and offered fashion advice to her many customers at Lane Bryant, Caren Charles, and Pappagallo at the Monroeville Mall. At age 93 she continued to read fashion magazines for the latest trends. She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles and would keep her family busy purchasing additional puzzle books for her. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church, now known as St. Joseph the Worker parish and a graduate of Westinghouse Memorial High School in Wilmerding.

Florindo “Fred” Mariani

Florindo “Fred” Mariani, age 89 of North Versailles, passed away peacefully to reunite eternally with his beloved wife of 65 years, Patricia Mariani, daughters Diana and Gina Ann Mariani, and granddaughter, Gina Marie Mariani.

He was born on December 29, 1932 in Sant Angelo del Pesco, Italy, a son of the late Filomena (DiVito) and Ondivio Mariani.

Fred immigrated to the United States in 1953. He built a life filled with cherished family and friends. He ran a masonry business and was highly skilled in his trade. As a father and grandfather, he demonstrated strength, courage and the value of working hard in all that he did. Fred enjoyed regularly visiting his family in Italy, watching football, delicious food, music, and most of all, spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He set a true example of perseverance, integrity, tradition and dedication to family and faith. Fred was the pillar of love and commitment in his family— a love that continues to connect his family on earth and in heaven.
