Francis Ford “Scotty” Tremont, 89, of Liberty Borough, died Saturday, September 17, 2016. He was born December 21, 1926 in Buena Vista and was the son of the late Teto and Jeannette Ford Tremont. He was a retired Lab Technician and had worked for US Steel Christy Park Works and CPI Industries.

Francis was a WWII Army Veteran and received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Ribbon. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Ann (Robert) Lizik of Elizabeth Township and Judy Tremont of Pittsburgh, grandchildren, Justin and Ryan Lizik and Joshua Kowalecki. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Tremont and sister, Elizabeth Szabo. There is no visitation. Service with Military Honors will be held at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Elizabeth Township on Wednesday October 12 at 10:00 am.
