Ronald “Red” Lewis, age 84, of West Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at home. A retired foreman with Penndot, he was a former part time police officer in West Elizabeth and a former groundskeeper at Round Hill Park in Elizabeth Twp. He was a member of the Bunola Church of the Nazarene and a proud veteran of both the United States Army and Air Force. Born July 4, 1938, in West Elizabeth, he was a son of the late Charles “Babe” Lewis and Olive (Smith) Lewis Stocker and husband of the late Patricia (Cole) Lewis. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Joseph) Giansante and Michelle (Walter Lebetz) Lewis; son, Troy (Kendra) Lewis; grandchildren, Nicholas Giansante, Rachael (Lee Roy Jones) Giansante, Patrick Lebetz, Jacob, Gabrielle, Kaden and Sawyer Lewis; great-grandchildren, Matthew Peterson, Lee and Tara Jones, and Dante Giansante; also, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Lewis and brother, Charles Lewis. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeffrey Lytle officiating. Burial to follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
