Robert E. Butz, 78, of Charleroi, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. He was born November 12, 1937 in Greensburg and was the son of the late F. Emmett Butz and the late Eleanor May Cline Butz. Robert served in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of the Potomac State College of West Virginia University. He was a retired Manager for the Authority of The Borough of Charleroi. He is survived by his wife, Judy A. Shively Butz, son, James Robert "Rob" (Jamie) Butz of Belle Vernon, daughter, Tracy Stablein of Monongahela, brother, John (Judy) Butz of Arizona, and sister, Carol (Richard) Patterson of Youngstown.

He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Mackenzie, John and Jake. To them, he was more than just their Pap. Robert loved his dogs and is also survived by his friend Jagerz. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at 3300 East Sunrise Dr. Tuscon, AZ, 85718 or the American Cancer Society at 412-919-1100.
