Raymond Anthony Manz, age 86 of White Oak, passed away Thursday morning, October 27, 2016. He was born December 11, 1929 in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann (Goertler) Manz; his children, LuAnne (James, Jr.) Danner, Eric Manz, Karen (Kevin) O'Malley and Steven (Joann) Manz; grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Joseph, John, Kailee and Owen. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles (Betty) Manz and John (Mary) Manz; and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was a staunch patriot and proud veteran who served the country he loved during the Korean War in the 2nd Division Combat Infantry where he was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He was a strong, kind man in life who loved and was devoted to his family, (and John Wayne). His gentleness, patience, and good humor made him a wonderful role model for his family. He was truly loved by all and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 31, 2016 at St. Angela Merici Church at 10 a.m. Entombment with military honors will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery.
