Johnnie Ray Coward, 61, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, departed this life Monday, October 31, 2016 at home Johnnie was born April 1, 1955 in McKeesport, PA, son of Luella Jury Coward of Duquesne and the late Louis Coward Sr.

He was preceded in death by son, Ivan Coward, brother, Don Coward, and sister, Ceola Jones.

He was a member of Oasis Ministries.

He worked as an Asbestos Remover for Key Asbestos Abatement and was also a Direct Caregiver with the Public Partnership. Johnnie was also a proud US Army Veteran.

Survivors include mother Luella Coward; son, Johnnie Ray Coward, Jr. of Pittsburgh, Ciara McDougal of McKeesport, Destiny Floyd of Homestead, siblings, Louis Coward, Jr and Lueana Coward both of McKeesport, Robert Ray Coward of Stockbridge, GA; devoted companion, Hattie Smith of Pittsburgh, nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.

Friends will be received Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the at Oasis Ministries, 2017 Pennsylvania
Avenue, West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kim Lankford, officiating.

Interment will follow on Tuesday in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.

Arrangements entrusted to the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., McKeesport, PA.
