Charles Thomas Beno, a proud family man, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and loyal dog, Bear.

Chuck was born December 13, 1949, in McKeesport, PA, to the late Dorothy Hartman Beno and Bill Beno. He is survived by his devoted partner, Christine Dobies Gibson, his sole mate and landscaping sidekick. His two daughters, Amy (Gary) Pritchard and Lori Beth Beno, and three grandchildren, Emma, Gary, and Jake Pritchard. He is also survived by his half-sister Marny Daubenspeck, brother William Beno, and numerous cousins and nephews.

After graduating from South Allegheny High School in 1967, Chuck attended Kansas University, where he excelled in basketball and rugby and was a member of the TKE fraternity. He graduated from KU with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering.

Chuck started his journey working for Dravo Boat Yard for eight years. He moved on and became a dedicated senior project engineer for Elliott Company for 36 years, where he traveled the world creating lasting friendships with many of the people he worked with. He also served on the EFCU board of directors and credit committee for many years and was past president and board member of the Greater Pittsburgh USBC. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and king of sarcasm. He loved to watch the Steelers play football, his granddaughter ride horses, and his grandsons play hockey. Ornery as they come with a heart of gold.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church(Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish) on Monday, February 26, 2024, at 10:00 am. 1 Grove Pl. Baldwin, PA 15236
