Anthony T. Sopira, age 49 formerly of North Huntingdon, residing in Altoona died March 2, 2024 at his home. He was born December 24, 1974 in Jeannette, a son of the late Thomas and Sally A. Hartung Sopira. Tony was employed by J.L.G. Industries in McConnellsburg, Pa. A graduate of Norwin High School, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and scuba diving. Cooking at both the VFW Post 781 wing night and Irwin Country Club were also enjoyed by Tony. He is survived by his sister, Terri Smith and her husband Butch, nieces, Karlie Young (Joe), Korrie Tate ( Brian), two great nephews, Bryce and Jace. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 16, 2024 at 11 A.M. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
