Charles E. Stanley, age 91, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday March 18, 2024, at his home. He was born May 10, 1932, in Prestonburg, Kentucky, a son of the late Fairbanks and Frona Mcown Stanley. He was a member of the Norwin Alliance Church and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. Prior to retirement, Charles was an Electrician for General Motors with 22 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran serving with the 11th Airborne Division during the Korean War where he was the recipient of 3 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Hall Stanley, two sons, Charles K. Stanley and Dr. Gregory K. Stanley. He is survived by his grandson, Chad Stanley (Nicole); great-grandson Luke Stanley, and great-granddaughter Lila. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. Additional viewings will be held in Kingsport, TN, on Tuesday at a time to be announced at the Carter Trent Funeral Home.
