Woodrow Maurin, 85, died June 16, 2024, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born December 16, 1938, in Nyack, NY, he was the son of the late John Maurin and Chloe (Zeiller) Maurin, and the husband of Shirley Maurin.

Woodrow attended Nyack Christian College where he pursued his education before being drafted into the United States Air Force in 1962. A dedicated veteran, he served his country for 25 years, including a tour in Vietnam. Woodrow's service in the Air Force will always be remembered and honored. During his service, Woodrow enjoyed playing and coaching many sports. He also enjoyed collecting antiques.

In addition to his wife, Woodrow is survived by his children, John (Milene) Maurin and Teresa (John) Fuson; four grandsons; sisters, Shirlee Peterson, Linda Ashby, and Joanne McGarvey; and his brother, Robert Maurin, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Woodrow is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and James Maurin.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 10 a.m. Committal and Military Honors will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery.
