Peggy T. Laver, age 84 of North Huntingdon, died August 6, 2024, at Transitions Health Care in North Huntingdon. She was born on September 2, 1939, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Phillip O'Neal and Thelma Lewis O'Neal. Peggy was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a surgical liaison for UPMC Presbyterian. Peggy was a selfless and giving person who loved to work in the yard, crochet, and solve word-search puzzles. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Laver in 1984, grandson Joshua Laver, granddaughter Megan Laver, brother Buddy O'Neal, and a sister Mary Jean Goyda. She is survived by her children, Patrick Laver (Lisa), Terri "Tay-Tay" Samosiuk, and Thomas Laver, sisters Phyllis Boller (Max), Carolyn Theodore, Kathy Weaver, and Colleen Page, grandchildren Jennifer Watson (Orval), Marisa Manoogian (Alec), and Andrew Samosiuk, and five great-grandchildren, Kaelee, Sarah, Olivia, Wally, and Jacob, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10 A.M. at St. Agnes Church North Huntingdon. Interment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
