Donato "Dan" Alexander Capocciama , 92, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He was born February 1, 1932 in Clairton and was the son of the late Patsy and Anna (Pholar) Capocciama. Dan was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and retired from Giant Eagle in Elizabeth. He had previousley worked for Marraccini's in White Oak. Dan was a US Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. For his service he received the National Defense service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Colletta (Allen) Capocciama, son, Anthony F. (Carolann) Macioce of Christy Park, daughters, Colletta Youkin of White Oak and Lynn (Andy) Filippone of New Hampshire, grandsons, Brian Youkin and Brandon Youkin, Matthew Dimpel, Michael Dimpel and Jason Dimpel, great-grandchildren, Brandon Youkin, and Madison and DelaneyFleming, and Dan Fletcher, brother, John (Susan) Capocciama of Clairton, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Patelis. There is no visitation. Military Honors service and inurnment will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:30am at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
