Esther A. Giron, age 92 of North Huntingdon, passed away on December 30, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 4, 1932 in Braddock, a daughter of the late Anthony Grainy and Esther Moore Grainy. Esther cherished her role as a wife and she loved to spend time with her family. Esther was known as a joke-teller and she always enjoyed a good laugh with her friends. In her free time, she enjoyed card games and dining out. Esther loved to travel, especially to Virginia Beach. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Giron, and her brother Dominic Grainy and his wife Florence. She is survived by her nephew Byran Thornton (and wife Stella), nieces Sharan Merchant (and husband Glenn), Diane Grainy, Denise Volker (and husband Rick), and Dawn Lucas (wife of the late John Lucas), 5 great nieces and nephews, and 9 great-great nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Friday from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place in St. Agnes Church on Saturday at 10 AM with interment to follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
