Doris J. Callaghan, age 96 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 2, 2025. She was born on October 27, 1928 in Glassport, a daughter of the late Charles Morgan and Bess Hudson Morgan. Prior to her retirement, Doris was employed as a case worker by the Westmoreland County Welfare Office. In her free time, Doris was an avid reader, and she always looked forward to playing card games and scrabble with her friends. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by one son, Mark Callaghan, one son-in-law Carl Bytnar and two brothers, Charles Morgan and Robert Morgan. She is survived by one son, Rodger Callaghan (predeceased by Darlene Slovan), one daughter Linda Bytnar, five grandchildren Jennifer Green (Matt), Andrea Kurzdorfer (James), Brian Bytnar, Mindy O'Malley (Perry), and Matt Callaghan, ten great-grandchildren Claire, Madelyn, Logan, C.J., Coraline, Nolan, Sam, Zack, Kaitlin, and Max, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Tuesday from 11A.M.- 1P.M. at which time a blessing service will be held in the funeral home.
