Marlene Rae Durant, 93, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025. She was born July 25, 1931 in Braddock and was the daughter of the late  William and Hannah (McKnight) Buehner. She was the wife of the late Louis Durant who passed away June 22, 2016. They were married for 64 years. She was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Boston United Methodist Church for 55 years. Marlene was a Personnel Manager for the former Gimbels in South Hills Village and the former Eastland Mall and was previously a Switchboard Operator for the former Bell Telephone Company. She always had her hair styled and was always well dressed. She was an avid bowler and loved going to her home in Deep Creek, MD. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, LuAnn (Dennis) Kral of Penn Township, and Deborah (Raymond) Mullen of White Oak, son, Timothy (Donna) Durant of Elizabeth Township, grandchildren, Lauren (Kevin) Cunningham, Casey (Christian) Mullen, Nicholas (Sarah) Kral, Ashley (Grant) Cannon, Samuel (Kara) Durant, Hannah (Burke) O'Toole, Benjamin Durant and Emma Durant, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Ernestine (Andy) Doby, William (Shirley) Buehner, Mary (August) Bittner and Patrick (Doris) Buehner. Friends are welcome Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from  2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Boston, Elizabeth Township.  Services will be held Wednesday January 8, 2025 at Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church at 11 AM with  The Rev. Adam Stump, officiating.  Interment will follow at the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. In leiu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church. Condolences may be made at Gilbertfuneralhomeandcrematory.com
