Edward W. Barna, age 89 of Jefferson Hills, passed away peacefully after a brief illness in his home with friends and family there to comfort him.  Born, May 9, 1927 in Hays to the late John B. and Ethel (Pintye) Barna Revo, Edward was a Marine Corps Sergeant and Veteran of World War II, a member of the Clairton American Legion, Daniel Keffer Post #75 and Clairton V.F.W Post #803. 

He was a retired scheduler for Pittsburgh Port Authority. Besides his parents, Ed is predeceased by his wife Doris Mae (Wilcher) Barna and siblings John Barna and Ethel June Borgan.  He is survived by his children, grandchildren, brother Robert Barna of OH, nieces, nephews and his extensive extended family and friends. His bright smile and zest for life will be deeply missed from all whose lives he greatly touched.  Friends will be received in the A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 2 to 6 PM with a Blessing Service held at 5:30 PM. Interment will be private in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, Twp.  Family asks in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.  www.bekavacfuneralhome.com
