Kevin J. Gogoel, age 69, of Blaine Hill, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital. He was a veteran of the Air Force, where he retired as a vehicle operations craftsman. He was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. He was a former bus driver for 17 years at First Student Transportation for special needs children and a lifetime member of Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Company. He loved attending NHRA races with his good buddy Rick. He was a jokester and had the gift of gab. Whether he was standing in the grocery line or at the bank he would stir up a conversation with anyone. Sometimes those strangers found themselves still in conversation 30 minutes later wondering why they answered him in the first place. He loved sports so much and in his younger years he played deck hockey behind the firehall. Most of the neighborhood could hear him broadcasting the game and that is where he got the nickname Myron. Born September 10, 1955, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Stephen A. and Dorothy R. (Hamadock) Gogoel. He is survived by his sisters, Paula (Bob) Papakie of Hertford, NC, Vicki (Paul) Vespi of Blaine Hill, Terri (Terry) Rodino of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ and Jackie (Joe) Formica of South Park; brothers, Stephen Gogoel of Blaine Hill and David (Colleen) Gogoel of White Oak; also, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 9 AM until 12 Noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday at 1 PM at St. Michael Church with the Rev. Thomas J. Burke officiating. Private burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery.
