Robert (Bob) L. Raymer, 71, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease, surrounded by the family he so deeply loved. Born on March 24, 1954, in his family home in Liberty Boro, Pennsylvania, Bob was the beloved son of the late Robert and Shirley Raymer. He is survived by his two sisters: Pat Macchiarolo (Mike Macchiarolo) and their children Christopher, Peter, and Rie; and Sherri Waugh (the late Gerry Waugh) and their children Monte and Lyle. Bob also leaves behind his former wife, Peggy Wagner, and their three children: Jessica Murray (Austin), Jeremy Raymer, and Luke Raymer (Lauren Kyle). He was the proud grandfather of five adoring grandchildren: Finnegan, Sullivan, and Emerson Murray, and Ford and Vada Raymer. Bob was a man of immense talent and passion, whose creativity touched every part of his life. After completing a four-year apprenticeship, he became a journeyman carpenter, mastering the art of woodworking. With a love for antiques and a remarkable eye for detail, he became highly skilled in restoring antique furniture—buying, refinishing, and selling countless treasured pieces. His craftsmanship extended to the restoration of a 200-year-old farmhouse, which he lovingly transformed into a colonial home filled with history and charm, where he lived with his family.
Later in life, Bob discovered a new calling in energy work and intuitive healing. He moved to California, where he spent 16 years helping and healing others—transforming lives in ways that many of his clients will never forget.
Bob had a deep love for good music, delicious food, beekeeping, raising chickens, antiques, thunderstorms, and above all else, his children and grandchildren. His pride in their accomplishments was unwavering, and he found endless joy in their stories and successes.
He lived life on his own terms—simply, authentically, and always with an appreciation for nature and the beauty in the world around him. Bob himself was truly one of a kind. His vibrant smile, infectious laugh, and the love he shared with those around him will be forever remembered. His loss leaves a void that can never be filled. May he rest in eternal peace and continue to watch over the family he so deeply loved. Memorial contributions can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
