George H. Valentine, 80, of Port Vue, died peacefully with his family by his side on Aug. 11, 2025. He is the son of the late Anatole and Celia Elizabeth Valentine. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Catherine (Thomas) Valentine; daughters Katlyn (Michael) Bucci and Bobbi Jo (Tim) Showalter; grandchildren Sarah (Brian) Hayes, Larnell (Rylee) Randolph and Elliana Bucci; great grandchildren Violet Hayes and Rylo Randolph; sisters Celia, Phyllis and Katherine and brother Paul. George was preceded in death by his son Georgie Valentine and brother Richard. George was a man of good and loved Jesus. He was a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church, Pine Run United Methodist Church; was twice Past Master of Dallas Lodge 508; head of the Almoners and Charity Committee of the Dallas Lodge 231; member of the Lyons and was a former cub scout leader. George also served in the US Ariforce. Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Wed. from 3 to 8, with Masonic services taking place at 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7:30. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice and the nurses and staff on the 4th floor at Jefferson Hospital for all their care.
