Ruth B. Behary, age 89 of North Huntingdon passed away on October 18, 2025 at Hempfield Manor in Greensburg. She was born on February 14, 1936 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Eugene and Sophie Slepecki Balough. Prior to her retirement, Ruth was employed in the accounts-payable department for Ritter Engineering. She also worked part-time as a U.S. Postal Service computer center clerk. She was an antique dealer, well known for her cookie jar collection and she enjoyed various flea markets. Ruth was the first female union representative and the first grievance woman for U.S Steel's Continental Can Company. In 1965, she won an award for the second fastest typer in the U.S.A. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William C. Behary, sister Toni Bukovac, and grandson, Seth William Christopher Teahan. She is survived by one son, William Behary Jr. (wife Amy) and one daughter, MaryBeth Taylor (husband Tom and family), grandchildren, Sean Teahan (wife Michelle), Kyle Teahan, Ali Soukovich, and Cameron Behary, and great-grandchildren, Malley, Isla, and Nora. In accordance with Ruth's wishes, there will be no public visitation.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Ruth's name to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Wounded Warrior Project, or any local veteran association.
