William G. ‘Bill’ Worthington, age 81, of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at home. He was a former welder with Westinghouse in Large and Reliance Steel in McKeesport. Bill was a friendly and outgoing person who never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He enjoyed fishing and was an amateur herpetologist as well as a lifelong naturalist. Born on September 3, 1944, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William G. and Isabella (Bahnemann) Worthington. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Lacey K. (David) Goldberg (née Scott) of State College; grandchildren, Will and Jacob Worthington, and Oskar, Elowyn, and Eila Goldberg; brother, Gary J. Worthington of Conneaut Lake; nephews, Gary (Chrissy) Worthington of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Christopher Worthington of Meadville; and daughter-in-law, Natalie Worthington of West Elizabeth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William D. Worthington. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Paul E.
