Patricia Ann Wooten Battle, 70, of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, departed this life peacefully on January 26, 2026, at Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, PA.
She was born March 28, 1955, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter, of the late Glearn Wooten and Charolette “Tootsy” Wooten Jackson; She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Louis Battle, and brother, Ronald Wooten; grandparents John & Jane Bradshaw and Obediah and Susie Wooten.
Patricia, affectionately known as “Patty” was a graduated of Duquesne High School Class of 1973. She was employed at Mercy hospital in Pittsburgh, PA in the dietary department. Patty was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Torrey and the Pastors that came hereafter.
Wayne and Patty met at a very young age in Burns Heights, over 30 years. From that time on they married and became soulmates. Even through trials and tribulations their love for one another, and the promise they vowed, to remain as one until the end.
Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Charlene “Dolly” Wooten-LeBeau, of Aspinwall, PA, brother, Antwan D. (Sabrina) Wooten of Peru, In, sister-in-law, LaSonne Wooten of Homestead, PA, brother-in-law, Gerald (Felicia) Battle, of Waldorf, MD, 34 nieces and nephews, loving aunts, Brenda Mitchell, Ceceila Barnes, Cythina Hollis, Rosia Mae Reid, Connie (Tyrone) Kemp, all of Duquesne, PA, daughters in love Breonna Dama, Mya Dama, Kinya Dama in whom she helped rear, all of Braddock, PA, godsons, Pareese “Pee Wee” Smith, Jr. and Malikaih Kershaw and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
Patty also had many devoted friends and caregivers to name a few, Peggy Karek, Nicole McKamey, Andy Terek, Steve & Maggie Rack, Rita Wallace, Jeannate Shelby, Iona Lofton, and we knew there were many others too who would lend a helping hand to Patty. God provided angels who spend priceless time making sure Patty met every appointment or need. They never complained, they stepped right up and took her under their wings.
We are grateful for every act of kindness you have shown towards her life in her time of need. Thank you all.
