Mary Jane Northen, 77, of Irwin, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at her home.  She was born March 10, 1948 in Birch River, WV, a daughter of the late Oliver Carl and Weltha Harper Barnett.  Mary Jane was an avid quilter and was the owner and operator of Quilt Creations in Manor.  She attended Carrick High School,  member of Manor Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Duyane "Barn" Barnett.  She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of over 60 years, Henry "Hank" Northen; daughters, Mary Suzanne Hoffman, Jennifer Lynn Holmes and her husband, David, Rebecca Jane Satryan and her fiance, John Fettis; brother, Earl "Dink" Barnett; sisters, Marilyn (Ed) Szpara, Sonia Lazabeck; grandchildren, Charles Hoffman, Sara Hillen, Kyle Mintus (Bethany), Garrick Mintus (Jess), Ryan Mintus (McKenna), Tiffany Ansari (Tariq), Crystal Moser (Joel), Richard Satryan (Deb), Jerrico Satryan, Kyle Holmes (Emma), Karli Flotkoetter (Jordan); and numerous great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA. Additional viewing will take place on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m.in the Manor Presbyterian Church, followed by the service at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manor Presbyterian Church.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
