Renna Armella Bailey Udoh, 58, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, peacefully transitioned on March 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at AHN West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Renna was born on September 5, 1967, to Samuel Bailey and Ruby Armella Payne-Walker. She was raised in McKeesport and proudly attended and graduated from McKeesport High School class of 1985, where her lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and community was first cultivated. Growing up, Renna was an active and vibrant young woman. She was a proud member of the McKeesport Black Berets Drill Team, where she developed discipline, confidence, and pride in teamwork. She loved to dance and sing and was naturally talented, carrying that joy throughout her life in worship, fitness instruction, and everyday moments that uplifted others.

Renna had a profound and lasting impact on youth and young adults. Through her work as an educator, mentor, fitness instructor, and minister, she poured wisdom, encouragement, and structure into the lives of countless young people. She faithfully served at the former Dominion Christian Academy in Greensburg as an instructional aide, substitute Bible teacher, and cook, nurturing students academically, spiritually, and personally. Her professional life reflected her deep passion for service and community. Renna began her career in the early 1990s with S&S Access, where she worked for more than ten years, while also serving as a Safe Driving and Vehicle Inspection Trainer at CCAC Allegheny Campus.

She later held leadership roles in mental health services, including Home Aid Supervisor at Mon Yough Mental Health and Director at Milestone, formerly known as Allegheny East. Renna served in several roles at Hosanna House, including Fitness Instructor, Facility Coordinator and Front Desk Personnel, and Head of Housekeeping. She was also known for sharing her love through food, often preparing and bringing homemade African dishes for staff and guests. Her commitment to wellness and seniors led her to the YMCA, where she worked as an Enrollment Specialist and Silver Sneakers Fitness Instructor for over five years.

As an Ordained Minister and Founder of B.C.O.M. (Bethel Community Outreach Ministries), a church without walls, Renna dedicated herself to bringing God’s word to the sick, the shut-in, and those in need. Her ministry was lived daily through compassion, mentorship, and selfless service. Renna was also the Owner and Operator of U.R.A.B.’s Cleaning Service for more than 25 years. She was a lifelong member of the NAACP, active in HIV and AIDS Awareness outreach, and a devoted member of St. Paul Church, where she sang in the Ben Harris Choir, Women’s Choir, and Senior Choir, and served faithfully with the food bank and praise and worship team. Family was the center of Renna’s life. McKeesport was her home, where she built her legacy and served her community. She deeply cherished time spent with family in Buffalo, visiting whenever possible, creating memories filled with love and laughter. She also enjoyed time in Chicago and loved traveling with family and friends, always embracing life fully. Above all, Renna loved the Lord. She lived her faith through action—taking in women and children in need, helping friends, family, and even strangers without hesitation. She was selfless, wise, and compassionate. She was a phenomenal mother to her three children and a devoted grandmother to her ten grandchildren.

Renna was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Bailey; brothers, Sam, David, Joseph, James Sr., and William Bailey; sisters, Betty, Maxine, and Justine Bailey; aunt, Sarah Herriott; and cousin, Lamar Bailey. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved mother, Ruby Armella Payne Walker (Chester); daughter, Terrin R. Bailey; sons, Darrick W. Bailey and Marcus D. Bailey; ten grandchildren; sister, Arla R. Payne; brothers, Gerald (Jerry) Bailey, Raymond Bailey, and Glenn Bailey; cousin and family matriarch, Josephine George; dear sister-friend, Tina Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Renna Armella Bailey Udoh’s legacy of faith, service, mentorship, and love will continue to live on through her family, her community, and the youth she touched so deeply.
