Doris R. Phillips, 76, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on April 4, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on July 23, 1949, Doris was the daughter of the late Otto W. and Dorothy Schmidt Jancef. She was a longtime member of Norwin Christian Church and was devoted to her faith and family. Doris was a graduate of Norwin High School and found great joy in quilting, gardening, and her love of animals. She will be especially remembered for her generosity and thoughtfulness, often sharing her talent by creating and gifting handmade quilts to newborns, family members, and friends—a lasting expression of her love. Throughout her life, Doris held a variety of roles, including positions with Rockwell, the Alumni Association of California University of Pennsylvania, the Westmoreland County Blind Association, and the Mountain View Inn gift shop. In her retirement years, she assisted her husband with his business. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard K. Phillips; her daughter, Ruth A. Jones; and her sisters, Carol Rice and Linda Horne. Doris is survived by her loving daughter, Tracy Seman and her husband Richard; her beloved grandchildren, Bethany, Sarah, and Jaden Seman; two nieces; and members of the Phillips family. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Norwin Christian Church, followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Norwin Christian Church, Vintage Voyagers. Arrangements are entrusted to James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon.
