Mary N. Katsakis, age 79, of White Oak, died April 10, 2026, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born January 20, 1947, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Paraskevi (Papaconstantiniou) Katsakis.

Mary devoted over 30 years of her professional life as a laboratory technician in the Pathology Lab at McKeesport Hospital, where she was known for her meticulous work and compassionate nature. A devoted member of St. Mary Holy Assumption Orthodox Church and the Greater Works Pittsburgh Church, Mary found great joy and comfort in her faith and community. Her warm smile and generous heart were a source of light for those around her.

Beyond her professional accolades, Mary had a passion for nurturing life through her beautiful garden. She cherished the time spent growing vegetables, nurturing her roses, cultivating a fig tree, and tending grape vines. Mary was also an amazing cook who loved to host family and friends, creating cherished memories around the dining table, filled with laughter and love.
Mary is survived by beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and wonderful friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Steven Katsakis, Anthony Katsakis, Michael Katsakis, and Stella Sotereanos.
