Ruth Arlene Moreno, 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Bristol House, Irwin.

She was born December 6, 1928 in Indiana, PA, a daughter of the late Robert J. and Ruth Currie Jeffrey.  Prior to her retirement, Ruth was a server for the Palace Theatre in Greensburg and a volunteer for McKeesport Hospital. She was a member of Circleville United Methodist Church, various bridge and card clubs and enjoyed crafting.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Moreno in 1994; and granddaughter, Holly.  She is survived by her son, Robert "Tony" Moreno and his wife, Eileen; daughter Ruth Bowers and her husband, Robert Turnbull; grandsons, Nicholas and Zakry.  Friends will be received on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.   A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
