Edwin D. "Big Fred" Coulter, Jr., 52, of McKeesport, died Saturday June 3, 2017 at home. He was born October 22, 1964 in McKeesport and was the son of Katherine "Kay" Anthony Coulter Resh of Elizabeth Township and the late Edwin D. Coulter, Sr. In addition to is mother, he is survived by his son, Casey (Kristin) Coulter of Turtle Creek, grandchildren, Aralyn Banks and Jayden Coulter, sister, Jennifer (Andy) Gault of Elizabeth Township, step-mother, Jewell Coulter and step-father, Thomas Resh of Elizabeth Township, step-sister, Janie Zahn of Sewickley, nephews, John (Kira) Altmiller, A.J. Gault, Jesse and Cameron Zahn, nieces, Heather Altmiller, Katie Polakovic and Kelly Elko, great nieces, Chaellen and Starrlyn Altmiller and his best friend, Jeanne Elko Coulter.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Altmiller who died May 11, 2016. Friends are welcome Wednesday June 7, 2017 from 3-6:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, director.
