Aiden J. Denne, 87, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday, June 17, 2017, at home. He was born Nov. 22, 1929, in Duquesne, son of the late Paul and Bernadette (Lager) Denne. He was a retired metallurgical engineer who worked for U.S. Steel, Duquesne, and Lorain Works, Ohio. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, North Huntingdon, and St. Joseph Church, Duquesne. He was a member of Jacktown Ride and Hunt Club, Irwin Moose and Teutonia Mannerchor Club, Duquesne. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was the beloved husband of 67 years to Marilyn (O'Bringer) Denne; father of James (Mary Jo Ingelido) Denne, of Harrison City, Suzanne (Kevin) McHugh, of North Versailles, and Sally Kieswetter, of Kitchner, Ontario, Canada; grandfather of five, Meghan (Alex) Caterson, Sarah (Dr. James) Breisinger, Thomas "T.J." Denne, Amanda Kieswetter and Ronald Kieswetter Jr.; great-grandfather of four, William and Benjamin Caterson and Hazel and Patrick Breisinger; and brother of Kenneth (Jean Ann) Denne, of Wilmington, N.C., and the late Paul (surviving spouse Margaret) Denne, of Ft. Pierce, Fla. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne (412-466-3300; William B. Schleifer, supervisor; William Brian Schleifer, funeral director), where a blessing service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating. Burial with military honors will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
