Donna Jean Cassidy, age 62, of West Newton, PA, died July 30, 2017 from a losing battle to breast cancer.

She was born August 26, 1954 in Canonsburg, PA., a daughter of Donald E. and the late Edith Jones Cassidy.  Donna was an avid Steelers fan, loved spending time at camp, enjoyed fishing, but most of all loved her family and adored her grandchildren.  She was a 1972 graduate of Norwin Senior High School.  She worked her whole life to support her family and retired from Famous Footwear.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Marty J. Betters III.  She is survived by three daughters, Heather Witman (John Hyatt), Lauryl Drescher and husband, Jason, Amber Wepfer (Jason Hempel);  fiance, Richard Andreolli; one brother, Donald E. Cassidy Jr. (Regina); two sisters, Susan Whiteman (Mike), Carol Sears (Brad); three grandchildren, J.J., Emma and Aidan.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. followed by a service in the funeral home chapel.  In memory of Donna, please wear your Steelers apparel or pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.  Memorials may be made to Autism Speaks or the Norwin Community Resource Center.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
