Elva Louise Boissin, 79, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born  April 28, 1938 in Manown, the daughter of Charles R. and Louise L. Staffen Cain, Sr.

Elva was a 1957 graduate of Monongahela High School. She was a lifetime member of the River Hill Church of Christ in Monongahela where she taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school, was involved in their youth group, active in the prayer chain and flea markets and was in charge of sending cards to church members for all occasions. Elva worked on the Honor Roll committee for the War Memorial that was erected on the church property. She was the family historian for the Staffen's and the Cain's. Elva loved to travel, enjoyed going to the Red Caboose, eating pizza and wings and loved being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Allen Boissin  with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage on October 3, 2016; three daughters, Nancy Tencer and husband Joe of California, Debbie Boissin of Fallowfield Township, Lynne Boissin of Forward Township; twin granddaughters, Merry Andrejchak and fiance' Chad Cyktor, Roxanne Lewis and husband Lance; great grandson, Jaxson Lewis; two brothers, Charles R. Cain, Jr. and wife Shirley and Raymond Cain both of River Hill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard "RC" Cain and sister-in-law, Sharyn Cain.

Friends will be received on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 6-8 PM and on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the River Hill Church of Christ with the Rev. Paul Eisaman officiating.

Anyone planning on attending the funeral service is asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the River Hill Church of Christ, 2501 River Hill Road, Monongahela, PA 15063.
