Joseph G. "Jerry" Sapp, 71, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home.  He was born November 11, 1945 in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Ziros Sapp.

Joseph was employed as an assembler for Wabtec Corp., formerly Westinghouse Airbrake, a member of The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, and a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam era.  He was past president of the Greater Irwin Church Dartball League, team captain for the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour Church team and a member of the Manor American Legion.  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hrapchak Sapp; son, Joseph G. Sapp Jr; daughter, Lori Sapp; brother, James Sapp; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jessica and Jordan Sapp.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Sunday 6-8 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in The Lutheran Church of Our Saviour Church, North Huntingdon.  PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.  Interment to follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
