Andrew "Butch" Joseph Sharpeta, 69, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday, November 25, 2017. Born December 31, 1947 in Floreffe, he was the son of the late Steve and Mary (Polcawich) Sharpeta. Butch was proprietor of Sharpeta's Cleaning. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Clairton VFW and was a 1968 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. He is survived by his life-partner, Jan Lieberum, daughter, Dawn Marie (Daren Black) Sharpeta-Black of Houston, TX, and son, Andrew J. Sharpeta of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren, Olivia Margaret Black, Zachary Andrew Black, Emma Rose Black and Andrew Joseph Sharpeta, sisters, Paula (Skip) Vosovic of Phoenix, AZ, Geri (Frank) Crino of Monroeville, and Nancy Sheppard of South Fayette, sister-in-law, Vicki Sharpeta of Baltimore, MD, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters, MaryAnn Adkins and Patricia Charles and brother, Steve Sharpeta. There is no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date in the Ascension Church, Clairton. Inurnment with Military Honors will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
