Virginia Ruth Tretyak, 89 of Liberty Borough, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Kane Regional Center in McKeesport. Born Nov. 19, 1926, in White Oak, she was the daughter of the late James Stenson and Ada Bartles Stenson Adams; and stepdaughter of Charles Adams and beloved wife of William Tretyak for 69 years.

Virginia Ruth Tretyak, 89 of Liberty Borough, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Kane Regional Center in McKeesport. Born Nov. 19, 1926, in White Oak, she was the daughter of the late James Stenson and Ada Bartles Stenson Adams; and stepdaughter of Charles Adams and beloved wife of William Tretyak for 69 years. Virginia was a longtime member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed being a part of the Women's Group. She also loved spending time camping with her family and taking many vacations down south. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Diane Tretyak and Mary (Stephan) Driscoll, both of Liberty Borough; grandsons, Adam (Nichol) Driscoll, of West View, and Brad (Rachel) Driscoll, of Butler; great-grandchildren, Brendan, Matthew and Julia Driscoll; sister, Olive Mauger, of White Oak; brother, Charles Adams, of Largo, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, James Stenson and Frances Gessinger. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016, at JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Charissa Howe will officiate. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
