Rita M. (Piovesan) Gdovic, 70, of Port Vue, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was a retired office clerk for the former G.C. Murphy Company in McKeesport and member of St. Mark's Parish in Port Vue. |
She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Port Vue American Legion, Port Vue Seniors and Port Vue Women's Club and former member of Parish Ministries at St. Mark's. Born October 18, 1945 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Catherine (Duffy) Piovesan. Rita is survived by her husband, Dennis S. Gdovic; son, Wayne (Pamela) Gdovic of Jefferson Hills; grandchildren, Maura and Nathan Gdovic; sister, Kathleen (Tony) Lekse of Elizabeth Township; brother, Dr. Patrick (Rose) Piovesan of Hampton Township; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Alvin Piovesan. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut Street,Versailles, PA 15132 (412/678-3454) on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 12 Noon in St. Mark's Parish, Port Vue, with Father Daniel Straughn officiating.
