Edward J. Klotz Sr., 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at his home. He was born October 21, 1928 in Duquesne, PA, a son of the late Michael and Anna Petrosko Klotz. Prior to his retirement, Edward was a masonry bricklayer for US Steel and was a Corporal in the US Army, having served during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, White Oak Rod and Gun Club, life member of the NRA and American Legion Post 0344 for 46 years. Edward was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and yard work and was a Pittsburgh Sports Teams Fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael. He is survived by his wife, Marie Czarnecki Klotz; sons, Michael and his wife, Sheila, Gary, Edward Jr. and his wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, Anna, E.J. III, and Zachary Klotz. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA, on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Liturgy will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church, North Huntingdon.
