Karan Marie Fazekas Rymarowicz, 69, of Elizabeth Township, died Thursday, April 7, 2016 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She was born October 5, 1946 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Doris Jean McLaughlin Fazekas of Elizabeth Township and the late Albert C. Fazekas. Karan was the step-daughter of Joan Fazekas of Glassport. She was a member of the Free Hungarian Reformed Church, McKeesport, and was retired from UPMC-McKeesport Hospital. She was also a member and past-vice president of Local 205 Teamsters.

In addition to her mother and step-mother, she is survived by her husband, John D. Rymarowicz, son, Jody M. (Heather McCullum) Fazekas of Irwin, step-sons, John (Tammy) Rymarowicz of East McKeesport and Mark Rymarowicz of McKeesport, sister, Nancy A. Kendall of North Huntingdon, brother, Daniel (Karen) Fazekas of Cary, NC, step-sister, Lisa (Mario) Marghella and Michele Fazekas, step-brother, Richard Fazekas, step-grandchildren, John, Nathan and Megan, aunt, Shirley Barnes of Elizabeth Township, nephews, Ed (Jean), Todd (Heather) and Kevin (Abby) Kendall, and David Fazekas, nieces, Connie (Aaron) Thomas, Beth (Todd) Hancock and Heather (Simon) Allison, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Friends are welcome Saturday, April 9 from 6-8 PM and Sunday April 10 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 11, at 10:00 AM with The Rev. Matthew Elanjileth, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
