Stephen J. Zugai, 70, of West Newton died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born October 29, 1947 in McKeesport the son of the late Steve and Theresa (DeFelice) Zugai. He is also predeceased by a sister Valerie Adams.  Steve was retired Co-Owner of Z’s Beer of North Huntingdon as well retiring as an Electrician and Safety Inspector for US Steel Duquesne and Edgar Thompson Works as well as Surface Mining Reclaimation Inspector for Cumberland Surety.  Steve was a Veteran of the US Air Nation Guard, and was a member of the Shidle Lodge #601 F&M of Irwin and Mon River Bass Masters.  Steve aka “Pudge” was a hardworking, fun loving, and gentle hearted man who loved spending time with his family and devoted much of his free time to supporting and coaching sports when his sons were young.  He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. He enjoyed vacationing in Disney World and was very passionate about fishing.  He enjoyed countless hours on the water fishing with is sons, grandson, and friends.  He appreciated the outdoors and was an avid Bass fisherman.  He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Linda (Sloss) Zugai; two sons; Jason Zugai and his wife, Staci, of West Newton, Josh Zugai and his wife, Jessica, of North Huntingdon; four grandchildren; Rocco, Mia, Mary and Josh Zugai; a sister Lisa Bollenberg and her husband, Drew, of Liberty Boro, sister in law Marsha Ransick and her husband, Bill, of Elizabeth.  Friends will be received on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave, Irwin.  Parting Prayers will be held on Saturday at 8:40 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 9 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church.  Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, North Huntingdon.  For online condolences, please visit www.ottfuneralhome.com
