Michael J. Stepansky, age 60, of North Huntingdon, died Nov. 10, 2018, at his home. 

Born Jan. 23, 1958, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Leo and Edith (Buckley) Stepansky and the husband of Cynthia (Figel) Stepansky.

Mike was a UPMC McKeesport carpenter of 38 years.  He loved working with wood, whether it was building things for his friends or cutting wood for the fireplace. Mike was a very proud grandfather.  Around the house, he was a fine baker and cook.  For the past 50 years, he fished, hunted and trapped with family and friends, at his camp in Driftwood, PA.

Mike was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Eleventh Ward Welfare Association of McKeesport, International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 95, and board member of Penn's Woods Civic Association.

In addition to his beloved wife, survivors include daughters, Alaina (Chris) Torockio, of Greensburg and Amanda (fiancée, Justin Burns), of Princeton, TX; grandchildren, Brensen, Bailyn, Dakota, Haylie and Braydin; siblings, Barbara (Skip) Zimmer, of Oldsmar, FL, Leo (Lynn) of Clemmons, N.C., and Mark (Paula) of Stuart, FL; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Father John A. Moineau and Father Matthew Elanjileth at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16.  Interment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  Memorials are suggested to the Autism Society of Westmoreland County.  Memories and condolences may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com
