Sharon J. Young, age 55 of White Oak, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in Lifecare Hospital in Monroeville.

Born January 26, 1961 in McKeesport, she is a daughter of Gene J. and Melva (Evkovich) Dandrea. The head nurse for Propel Schools throughout the area, and active in their after-school programs, Sharon earned her Bachelor's Degree from Carlow College. A member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport, where she loved her Church family, she was also active with the Church youth groups. Besides her parents, Sharon is survived by her three sons Richard Paul Young, III, Frank Edward Young, and Matthew James Young, with whom she resided; her sister, Jody (Ron) Kotun of Wilkinsburg; her brother, Gene David (Abby) Dandrea of Murrysville; her niece, Kellie Lewis; her nephews Nicholas Lewis and Mario Dandrea; and also three great-nephews. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, 4504 Walnut Street,Versailles Boro, McKeesport, PA 15132 (412/678-3454) on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM and on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1 PM in St. Sava's Serbian Orthodox Church with Fr. Stephen Rocknage officiating. Procession and burial will follow to Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Memorial contributions in Sharon's name should be made to St. Sava's Church, 901 Hartman St., McKeesport, PA 15132.
